Just finished up another three days of dispatch duty.

Was contacted by the Company again and received a request. A mandatory one, as they so kindly put it.

While the last dispatching assignment they gave me involved a hoarding bug infestation in Assurance's facilities, this assignment was on a whole other level.

The Company was pretty vague on the details. The basic rundown they gave me was that there were reports of "employees having several incidents with masks" on Titan. Some dispatch crews were sent to deal with the "incidents," only for them to end up being overrun and a select few managing to it out alive by themselves.

I tried to do some digging to see what happened beforehand, but the information around the incidents were few and far between. From the stories I've heard, some crews that fail to meet quota on Titan tend to do a suicide pact by wearing masks. Though, from what I've witnessed firsthand, it also could've been some employee thinking that putting on the mask was a "funny prank" only for it to get attached to their face and, in turn, taking almost the entire crew with them.

I wanted to make it less depressing for myself and believed in the latter.

And also, you'd think that a Technician, a person who's supposed to be on ship duty, wouldn't be fit for the job? Still, with a revolver, some bullets scattered around my ship, a shovel and a bit of luck, I was able to scrape by. Just barely, though. Some of them got pretty damn close to me. Too close.

While I was on duty, the Company ordered that I "confiscate" the masks and return them to the Company building. And, while it was pretty damn hard to detach the masks from their faces, I was able to manage and follow through. Though, you'd think there would've been more to it after that but

nope.

That was it. I just flew to the Company building and sold whatever masks I could get my hands on. Afterwards, they paid me, thanked me and just kind of sent me on my way. Now I'm just sitting in my ship in orbit. Left trying not to think about the past few days.

Maybe I'll just play some chess with Blue to keep this whole damn thing off my mind.
