Creating a save game
Both the "Holding high standards" as well as the "Some Style" achievements can only be achieved at the first time you close your saloon and are put into the decoration mode! Theoretically, they should trigger when you at that point in the story spend 30 or 60 minutes decorating your saloon before making a drink for the mortician - who will show up after you've changed the first three items that the quest requires you to change.

So to get the achievements faster, save your game right before you are told to close your saloon for the first time in the story. If you don't have a save game at that point, you'll need to restart the game and play up to that point again.

Make sure to save the game before closing the saloon for the first time if you want to get those two achievements, you'll have to reload the save several times, as both achievements are quite buggy at the time of writing this guide.
"Holding high standards"
This achievement requires you to decorate your saloon for a total of 60 minutes before you serve the mortician her drink. Sadly, it is buggy and doesn't properly count your time. And though the method shown here takes longer, it does still allow for earning the achievement.

Yet it's still possible to get progress (a few minutes at a time) by
  • loading your prepared save game,
  • closing the saloon,
  • replacing three items as required,
  • waiting for a few minutes with your hammer in hand,
  • making the drink for the mortician.
  • Then load your save game again.
  • Rinse and repeat.

You can usually get a few minutes of progress each time you do that, so though it takes longer than intended, it's not impossible to get.
"Some Style" achievement
This achievement - in theory - requires you to decorate your saloon for a total of 30 minutes before you serve the mortician her drink. Yet this one is even more buggy than the "Holding high standards" one, and most of the time won't count your time at all. Yet what gave me the achievement in the end, was this:

  • Loading my prepared save game,
  • closing the saloon,
  • clicking away the tutorial pop-ups
  • walking inside
  • closing the game.
  • Restarting the game.
  • Rinse and repeat.

This way, I got at least one minute progress of the 30 minutes needed every time I restarted the game, and was the only way I found to get any reliable progress. It allowed me to get the second half of the achievement in around ten minutes, after spending literally hours on the first half of it.

I don't know whether this method also works for the "Holding high standards" achievement, as I had it completed already when I found it works. Thus feedback on that would be appreciated, feel free to comment!
Thanks for reading!
I know most people might not care about (buggy) Steam achievements for the free prologue/demo to a game that's not even released yet, but I hope I can help at least those who nontheless want 100% achievements (like me). That's why I thought I'd quickly write down how I got them myself.

If you have any questions or comments, feel free to post them below! Thanks for reading!

Thanks for the guide. Gave me some things to think about. My experience ended up being a little bit different.

Holding high standards - Once I started keeping track, I saw that my game counted each attempt as 1 minute, whether I closed it or not. Initially waited until she left, and ultimately I was just walking inside and waiting a few seconds before resetting without clicking anything. On the last count, the achievement popped up after closing the sign or tutorial.

Some style - Very buggy. Every crash happened with this one left. Also had to cycle through previous versions. Had a stretch early on with the second version where it counted just clicking the door, closing it, waiting a few seconds, and quitting the game. But for the rest of the achievement on the oldest version, I had to go way further, taking out the hammer after she leaves, randomly running and jumping around, spam clicking customize, spam swapping the hammer, and quitting after he says to find a place to sleep.

Thanks for the guide! I tried to combine both methods and found out it's fastest like this:
1. close the saloon
2. quickly go in an replace the tables
3. wait like 1-2 minutes
4. close the game
5. repeat

You don't even have to serve the mortician a drink, just ignore her.
