This guide is for when and how to try to do this, without a doubt, most difficult late game achievement It is approx. 10-20 times as hard as 7th when I was doing it a year ago.

It took me bit more than 11 days, depending on luck is doable in as short as around 7 days but it could take 2 weeks or more – (game was on 24/7 throughout all run). To do it maxed out Frog pet is a MUST, or it will require insanely active style of play focusing on shooting down every firefly there is as fireflies are a key to succeed here, if you want to do it in same time frame without losing out on weekly holiday tasks I suggest to start on Friday straight after you finish tasks which require ascending and are building/upgrade related, so u can do single game run until last day of next holiday tasks to do building/upgrade tasks on last day (Thursday). Passive play without Frog will get you nowhere here due to to low gold/sec income as there is no buildings allowed to achieve it. You can try to speed up things a bit by buying gold multiplayer ( I bough it 4x myself) but is is costly (800 amber for 15mins x25) and will fast forward game about 6-12 hrs a shot depending on luck – more how to do it below.

Not quite sure when is best time (I suggest to have as much stuff maxed out as possible) to try to get it done but I will tell you what my stats looks like before this attempt so you can judge if you ready for it or not quite yet:

Conquest – captured 11 provinces (12 gives extra 10% gold, 16 extra belt mastery point)

Pets – All Maxed out for passive bonuses (only Raccoon, Parrot, Squirrel bond 12). Set to use in play run FROG – there is no other way as it will take down every firefly there is and it MUST have all 4 abilities unlocked. Other 2 are of your choice but consider following – as big bonus to fireflies/gold/coin/gems and as FROG is critter try to choose one Beast and one Bird for the team for class related active bonus (I had Panda for fireflies multipliers and Chicken for gold boost)

Try to get all bonuses to gold/s from all sources as high as you can, as you are cut off from having any buildings, any extra bonus to gold/s is vital to shorten your pain to win this.

Stating the obvious you only buy research upgrades here and you should get tier 7 completed instantly (or lets say in less than 10sec, for argument sake)

within first hour of play you should have at least 40-50% of each 8 tier upgrade (anything should cost more than 3e45 gold) (with exception of last 2 having only 20-30% bought)

Frog will take down every Firefly there is to maximise income and shorten the time to achieve it – it will get you nowhere without this approach, you need all multipliers and bonuses from them, better yet few at the same time, so you can boost your gold/s as high as you can (best combo is good % to coin value – around 300% - good multiplier – x7 will do and if lucky firefly storm with shuriken vortex can give you few e48 in seconds) if you manage to get lucky ( I did just twice I have seen) and get The Big One (x50) instead x3-7 in that combo it can do few hours of gold in seconds if combined with samurai frenzy or firefly storm

While doing Tier focus on well fed labour, Seed Bank and sapphire first as this will give biggest gold/s boost so you can get the rest easier, huge pockets will help too. Leave Monopoly for last as not relevant here. When u can afford it buy one or two Ruby Prospecting from tier 9 (more will give only little bigger chance but will waste lots of gold needed to finish 8 tier)

After around 24hr session you should get tier 8 to the stage when you should have all upgrades bought (or mostly – depending on luck) up leaving all at 1e48 gold in price or more. Rest of run is purely up to luck with good fireflies combo and after first 2-3 days u will buy one maybe two most expensive upgrades every 24hrs, that's the time to consider to use amber DO NOT USE IT BEFORE you get to that stage.

For those of you who have and want to spent some amber gold multiplier can speed it a bit but is not game changer unless planed very well and lucky. Use only x25 for 800 amber and hit it only when at least 2, preferably 3 multipliers from fireflies are already on – otherwise is waste of amber (see best combos above for guidelines) I did it myself 4 times (so 3200 amber down the drain) and it saved me approx 24-36 hours) – choice is yours here – but I will strongly suggest to use it in the very end of run so you can see if it is worth it)

Lastly to help you calculate how far you are now and how much more you need to get you to finish line:

Tier 8 upgrades are done at

Intelligent Population – 8% ( buy 100 times)
Sapphire Cutting – 1.5% (buy 30 times)
Seed Bank – 100% (buy 80 times)
Huge Pockets - 4 (buy 40 times)
Monopoly – 0.1% (buy 10 times) – start buying when u got all others fully bought (or it gets cheap enough to do not affect speed of progress - say less than 1/10 of upgrade u need to buy next) as that one is irrelevant for progress
Well Fed Labour – 100% (buy 40 times) this will be most expensive one to last one costing 3.98e49

I Think ideal is to get around 2-3e36 gold/s or higher after few hours of play, this topped with multiplayers from Fireflies will be enough to have decent progress here.
