After experimenting with floors for the first time yesterday, I couldn't believe this picture. I guess I need to try again with all the tips you gave here, thanks!

thank you for your reply and your help and tipps. I still try to figure it out. I still have the problem, that I can't manage to make it really flat. my floors keep tilting to one or two sides xD

IMPORTANT NOTE : Levelling ground takes 4 points and it pretty much ignores everything else, so you can have poles on pillars of dirt, then when you make your floor it will fill in most of the dirt for the floor. It will have a few issues on the edges, some of which can be solved by cancelling the floor, and placing a floor that overlaps between the two floors. This may require the removal and later replacing of poles since the pole will count as an obstruction.

Also worth noting that marking an area for a floor snaps to poles if you are near one when you are doing you area selection, which is nice to help keep things consistent. You can usually also pickup errors ahead of time by watching the square feet/metres (i forget which) from memory each of my squares was around 9 square wehatever's it was and required 28 stones (i think). I would accept up to 0.1 square difference and -1 stone.

The old camera made the above both painful and time consuming.

2 x 2 storage of twigs is a good size. So I place 4 storage each with a twig in them in a 2 by 2 pattern on REASONABLE flatish ground then put poles at the 4 corners of the 2x2 pattern. At this point I may try adding a floor and level the area (just use 1 stone and then cancel after the level ground part has been done) I then add the supports and step back a bit and try and gauge if things look horizontal based on the supports (this was really painful with the old camera).

If I see anything look out of whack I remove the pole / support in question, add some earth to the spot, replace the pole and check the support again.

Once everything looks right, then you can go ahead and add floor/walls/roof etc.

That's awesome! just been wondering, how did you get it this accurate? is there maybe a storage that has exactly the sice of those squares?

Fair play! must have taken days to build.

Raise the 4 corners with a shovel, then put your posts on top, then lay a floor between the 4 posts, then 'level' the ground. For most of it I then cancelled the ground and tidy the edges, then repeated.

It took a long time.
