Arcade mode I, II, III AND IV



All arcade mode achievments can be achieved by defeating Lord Nutmeg in arcade mode.This is the whole game played through without saves and with a lives system.Additional lives can be found within certain sections of levels and the levels all still contain checkpoints.Mushroom tokens and platforms are removed.I recommend that you attempt this after having beaten or the game and becoming familiar with the level layouts.

Acquire a gold medal on cliffhanger

You are required to have the mushroom platforms from haunted lodge to achieve a gold time.As such, when reaching the first vertical climb section, take the right path along the mushroom platforms.If you want an in-depth guide on achieving a gold medal, you should watch speedruns uploaded to youtube.

This is achieved upon 100% completion which requires you to obtain the 21 trapped shrooms and have gotten a gold time on the 25 levels.

To unlock the kitty skin.You must break all of the ice blocks in gruesome grotto and reach the end.Once there, enter the area to your right that was previously blocked off and you will get the skin.
You must have freed the mushrooms from dessert outpost and roach motel.

TIP: When standing on the pink ice blocks, you can jump for a small amount of time after breaking the block which allows you to break a block underneath you and still jump off it.This can also be done by jumping at the last second of any piece of ground.

This involves a long chain of events leading up to a secret boss fight.

Step 1. Achieve 100% completion for the beach outfit

Step 2. Talk to the Markab at the end of Close encounters(you don't need to free him) and talk to him until he mentions amebic

Step 3. Go to platformer level in the beck costume and ascends the stairs next to M. P. Once at the top, jump on the alien floatie at least 51 times to hear a sound cue

Step 4. Return to Markab and talk to him until he mentions Hex.

Step 5. Go to pipe dream and play the level until you get to a hex value (2 digits sometimes with a letter).Put this into a hex to decimal converter and subtract this number from 256.Backtrack to a set of 2 yellow pipes, jump to the right twice and continue to jump for the number that you have calculate(the first 2 jumps don't count).Return to the hex area to find a platform.Step on it and let the sound cue play out.

Step 6. Talk to Markab until he mentions '89

Step 7. Go to mystic castle and jump around the corner at the start to obtain the SMM skin.

Step 8.Complete a time trial in Pipe dream while wearing this skin to get the CYBIL skin.

Step 9. Go to borsailles and at this part on the lower path, jump through the right wall and walk forward until you see a platform.Stand on it and listen to the sound cue.
Step 10. Speak with Markab. The next few hints require completing a level with all collectibles without dying and speaking to the mushroom.This leads to it sparkling on the map.

If he mentions elder: Complete the first level

If he mentions jokes: Complete roach motel

If he mentions Sweet gal: Complete dessert outpost

If he mentions Cold winter: Complete stone cold AND DIE ON THE CAMFIRE

If he mentions get grinding: Complete close encounters

Step 11. Speak again with Markab and he will say 'Your ride has arrived'

Step 12. Go to the far right of the third highway of truffle traffic until you see a checkpoint.Hit it and die.After respawning, run back to the left and hit a UFO before it runs away.You will be transported to a boss called HELL.Defeat it to unlock the achievment.
