In the game, characters can have various jobs. Each job has a number of skills, but there are two skills in each job that stay with the character, regardless of which job he changes to. That being said, it is this writer's opinion that each job should be raised to a minimum of the second skill's rank, to benefit each character, regardless of which job the player ultimately chooses for each character.

The following chart therefore shows the minimum rank to raise each job, according to this philosophy.

While the player can level the characters using whatever method desired, this writer has chosen to use the Yokohama Underground, concentrating on the B2F map. This map is the second to last location, in the Yokohama Underground, and contains two Invested Vagabonds (indicated by white arrows on the graphic). Just the act of crawling, up to this point, will get a net xp result of rank 14 to 16 for any job. From the end, traveling to the next map, then immediately turning around and returning to the B2F map, will respawn all enemies on this map. So the player can grind using the two Invested Vagabonds, over and over, to achieve the desired job ranks. Character levels, also increasing because of this method, is a bonus.
