This is a very good release but it very understandably lacks the original logos. This guide will teach you how to restore the original logos.

EDIT: This apparently breaks achievements sadly.

Step 1: Locate a CD of Backyard Baseball '97 
Step 2: Grab files from it. 
Step 3: Place the copied files in the Backyard Baseball 97 folder overwriting the original files.

Step 1: Locate a CD of Backyard Baseball '97
You need to get files from an original release of the game. There have been many releases of it, but as long as the version you have doesn't have a year on it, it should be the right version. You can find copies of it on eBay for around $20 or there are other ways to obtain it that I will not get into here.

Step 2: Grab files from it.
Copy the following files from the CD:
BASEBALL.HE0
BASEBALL.HE1
Step 3: Place the copied files in the Backyard Baseball 97 folder overwriting the original files.
Once you've done that you are done!

I've tried this out myself and yes achievements don't seem to work if you do this.
