Understanding the GPS
By SeriousMike
What's the number in the top left? What's that letter next to it?

What are those numbers in the bottom left corner?

How can I communicate with my team?

This guide explains the numbers on Exfils GPS and answers these questions.

The GPS is reflecting a modern military GPS which does include several numbers.

You can open the GPS by pressing Tab (default keybind). You can also zoom in and out using your mousewheel.

The top right is the current time in a 24 hour format of HH:mm:ss - this can be helpful for changing daylight especially in the dawn and dusk.

The other numbers are explained in the following chapters.
Looking in different directions
As you turn around without walking the top left number and letter will change.

Let's start looking "up":

You see it shows 0 degrees and the letter N for North.

Now let's look "right":

You see it changed to 90 degrees and shows the letter E for East.

Another turn "down":

It's now at 180 degrees and S for South.

And the last one to the "left":

Obviously it's at 270 degrees and W for West.

With this number you can call a full 360 degree circle with the direction you're looking at.
Walking in different directions
Now that we know the top left number let's head to the bottom right corner.

You see two numbers constantly changing while you walk around.

The first one is the West <-> East movement (walking East increases from 200 to 210).

The second one is the South <-> North movement (walking North increases from 160 to 170)

The letters on the map (for example the big E or C in the screenshots) indicate points of interest where you'll be able to call an Exfil chopper once you have the intel (given you play the default Exfil game mode).
As you can see the letter also has two numbers indicating their position. This shows their location with the same system as explained above.

Extra Note: When flying with the drone you can also see those numbers but in the lower left corner.

This helps you to tell your mates where the drone is or more important what you spotted with the drone.
