Firstly, to get started, you will need the following things

A copy of ZB2 installed (Obviously)
BepInEx (BepInEx is a plugin / modding framework for Unity Mono, IL2CPP and .NET framework games)
Be a member of the ZB2 server (This is where most mods are posted, as there is no workshop)

First Step

The First step is to open the game directory.
This can be done by right-clicking the game in your Steam library, hovering over Manage, and clicking Browse Local Files.

After that you will check if the "UnityCrashHandler" is 64 Bits or 32 bits, you can find out with the last 2 numbers in its name.
We need to know this to download our BepInEx!

After finding out you will download the following files according to what type your file is (32 or 64)

If your game folder includes UnityCrashHandler64.exe, then you'll want to download the file that starts with BepInEx_win_x64.

BepInEx 64x[github.com]

If your game folder includes UnityCrashHandler32.exe, then you'll want to download the file that starts with BepInEx_win_x86.

BepInEx 32x[github.com]

Step Two

After downloading BepInEx correctly
Extract the zip file and you'll have four files and one folder. Drag all of these into the game folder.

Run the game once, wait for it to reach the main menu, then close the game. The modding framework has finished setting up.
Next, open the BepInEx folder you dragged into the game folder.
If you see a plugins folder, you're ready to mod the game. If you don't, try running the game again, waiting until the main menu appears.

Third Step

After doing all this, we can now install our mods, but wait, where are the mods?
they are mainly on the ZB2 discord server! You can access it via the Steam page or here[discord.gg]

After joining the server, look at the modding chat, there will be several mods there!
Like Fov Slider, Auto Equip, Debug Mode and more!

Fantastic guide! Here's to hoping more people get into modding!
This is far better than the "mods" (cheats) that other guides promote.
