Here the best ways to start building up your collection without spending cash on the game:

* Promo codes : top right of the home screen, click on the gear wheel, then on "REDEEM CODE" and enter the promo code to get free boosters and all. Today promo codes are WARPFORGE BJTHEBRAVE and ETHEREAL but they change frequently so it's always good to check reddit, discord, and the dev webpage for new ones.

*Twitch drops : link your twitch account and your warpforge account, and then spectate a streamer (live or rerun) to get boosters. You have to claim the drops in your twitch inventory and then in-game in your "notification" center (the mail icon). Then open the boosters in the shop.

*Referral : also in the shop, you can click on "all armies free booster packs" and get 2 free booster packs by entering the in-game name of another player. For example, mine is lapinDL so if you enter "lapinDL" in the referral program, you get 2 booster packs. You can also give your username to other new players.

*Campaign : you get "campaign" points by playing and doing daily missions. You have to select the faction you are currently "campaigning" even if it's not the one you are using for play. So you can play Chaos and unlock Ork campaign. Good practice is to unlock the first campaign node of each faction to get the starter deck with warlord and a few good cards. You also get weekly bonuses based on progress. TIP : you can unlock missions by playing training mode, you don't have to face real players at start.

*Forge : when you have duplicate cards, you can spend crystals to upgrade them and progress on the forge track. The first node of the forge track is very useful because it gets you a defensive card used to compensate when you play second. You need it to be somewhat competitive.

*Draft mode : you can play one free run per day, and get rewards based on the numbers of wins before getting 3 losses. If you start a premium run using dark crystals, that will get you more rewards.

*Daily shop : the only way to buy some specific cards using crystals is in the daily shop. A Legendary costs 6000, an epic 1500, a rare 400, a common 100. Buying commons to advance in the forge (merging duplicates) is a good strategy at start.
