You will need Notepad++ or some other way to edit the pack.csa file and this pic.

Save the pic for later.
Editing the pack.csa file
Open the pack.csa file in Notepad++ (or whatever you are useing to edit with) and find filmgrain_0000.jpg

Now change one of the 0's to 1. It dosen't matter which one.

Save and close Notepad++ (or whatever you are useing to edit with).


Now put the pic C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Nosferatu The Wrath of Malachi\Version\Data

Start the game with no more film grain!

With the game's "pack.csa" file open in a hex editor, navigate to "address" 0d360a70 (row of characters on the left side of the file), by using the hex editor's "go to " address function, or by the program's "search/find" function in "unicode", to locate the all of the instances of the word "filmgrain", until you arrive at the "filmgrain_01" entry, at the address 0d360a70.
Change the entry to "filmgrain_00".

I edited the entry at address: 0d360a70. That seemed to switch off the grain.

And there's " filmgrain_0000.jpg5 ".

I did as you said and the game now hangs on launch. There are two instances of "filmgrain_0000.jpg", "Version\Data\filmgrain_0000.jpg" and "\\Idol-fx\Idol2\Nosferatu\Media\UI\filmgrain_0000.jpg" (I changed the first). Which one should I edit?

for me the film grain is not annoying. its there to add to the atmosphere together with tbe music
