How To Play Red Alert Online

Since 2010 CnCNet has been the premier place to play Red Alert online. The CnCNet installer is the essential community update for Red Alert. As well as providing online services for the game, it contains many bug fixes, extra content and fixes compatibility with the latest versions of Windows.

Playing Online
To play online you need to download the CnCNet patch.

This is available from: https://cncnet.org/red-alert

Click on "All downloads" and then "patch for existing installations"



Install the CnCNet TUC Patch



Once installed you should have a new icon on your desktop called "CnCNet Red Alert Launcher" double click it.



Click on "play online"



Then choose a nickname and join the lobby!

I have released a new version that might fix your issue. I checked the auto detected dir instead of the selected dir. If you got multiple RA installs this might have cause the issue.

Download is the same place. It says "RELEASE 2" on the top of the first page.

The patch checks for the existance of MAIN3.mix in the install dir. If it exists in your dir maybe it's got a bug.

I've changed the default folder to keep games away from drive C:

What is the path to the folder you are trying to patch?

When trying to patch the game it says "This version of Red Alert is not from the Ultimate Collection"
