General tips
Most of these tips applies for most challenges.
I have done all my run in gold and I do like to take it slowly.

Tip 1:

Take it slowly, (shocking right?)
There is no time limit as the increase in difficulty is based on the amount of squares you have explored.
When going in between squares, bait the monsters to you and try to single out the mount you want.

How do you know what mount you like? go to tip 2.

Tip 2:

Play the normal game first, you learn a lot and its the best place to experiment
(if your an achievement hunter, there is no rush to doing challenges as it only gets easier the more you play the game)
Some challenges become trivial riding certain monsters. Just take your time tto enjoy the game

Tip 3:

Use your lasso. It has so many use and multiple powerups can further enhance this underrated tool.
Aside from capturing monster it can be used to capture small critters to fight by your side.

This is especially usefull in the 4. Honey Season challenge

Tip 4:

Know the terrain. Some debuffs are more hurtfull than others, Again, go play the base game first to understand its mechanics.
Also, something I learned way later on my playthrough is you can melee plants to get a temporary special ammo.
Make plenty use of it and recharge before going to a dangerous area for an extra boost

Tip 5:
Charge your mount attacks. More often than not you will be mounted. Right before the fight, fully charge your area attack (if you have one) to give you an extra edge in the battle.

Tip 6:
Kill small monsters first before attacks the goldens. Get rid of unnecessary distractions first.
When a single monster is alone, it will rage, but I never found an issue fighting a single foe

Tip 7 (more health!!):

Where there is a reward that contains blocking (hp upgrades) and hearts, You should AWAYS take the blocking first then hearts. Because blocking will only increase your maximum hp and no current hp. Taking blocking first lets you reach max health

Challenge 1-10
1. Supersize Me

Difficulty: 1/5
Number of tries: 1
Rage: No

First of the many challenges. Monsters you can tame there are quite strong and it is really fun to play

2. Smoothie Science

Difficulty: 1/5
Number of tries: 1
Rage: No

monsters are pretty slow, it is easy to kite them and blast them with your overpowered gun.

3. Pinball Machine

Difficulty: 1/5
Number of tries: 2
Rage: No

it's a melee based challenge. Not very hard but easy to get overwelemed if you dont pay attention

4. Honey Season

Difficulty: 4/5
Number of tries: 8
Rage: YES

Very annoying challenge. I have done this challenge very early on and it is desceptively hard with all the critters flying around.
I would recommend to do this challenge later. Best tip I can give is to maximise the use of the lasso to convert critters to your side.

5. What could go wrong

Difficulty: 1/5
Number of tries: 1
Rage: No

Really really fun challenge, It really synergies well with the
Mixologist: Some blaster shots have the effects of 2 of your ammo types
No reloads means you can keep 2 ammo type you like, and fire away

6. Mount Whisperer

Difficulty: 1/5
Number of tries: 1
Rage: No

Free challenge. No cooldown to blast your abilities is OP. You can even ride a monster that has a defensive/attacking move like the squirrel to simply become invincible for the full duration.

7. Mutant Swamp

Difficulty: +6/5
current numb of tries: 9
Rage: yes

And I thought honey Season was bad...
**** this level. ** *** ******************
Use Tadpog and use its ult to convert all critter to allies. or chameleon is good for eating insect that also gives a boost to stamina...
I would try to priviledge finding defensive ability like +30 heart or mixologist upgrade... anything that is defensive will help

8. Charmageddon

Difficulty: 1/5
numb of tries: 1
Rage: No

Enjoy the power of the 9 starting bonus :) Oh yeah also you get double the charms... really easy

Difficulty: 3/5
numb of tries: 1
Rage: No

It isnt monsters you need to worry about but the constant rain around you. They deal a bit of damage. Pay attention to the top where rain is coming down.
I did it with my starting charm being monster dismounts, which really goes well agianst Tired mounts debuffs.
the map is small so the scaling wont be that high...
I did it first try but I feel like this one is actually pretty hard

10. ninja trial

Difficulty: 4/5
current numb of tries: 6
Rage: No

deceptively hard. I would strongly recommend to reroll map until you do not see a boss 2 squares before you. Since there is no mount timer (because you dont have lasso) that means you can take your time. Clear everyroom and make sure to get all the powerups in the rooms from monsters and pins. make sure to not let yourself be surrounded by shots and against bosses combine 3 fruites to kill it fast
One boss killer combination is banana, pineaple and pear( pear is for the piercing)
Challenge 11-20
11. Hot headed

Difficulty: 2/5
current numb of tries: 2
Rage: No

Not as hard since you can choose your charm. I chose heavy ammo since the speed down it gives is really good for dodging bullets

12. Time Warp

Difficulty: 2/5
current numb of tries: 1
Rage: No

A little tricky... game is the same but faster... you get very strong monster to mount (but also it is the same monster you need to fight...) I used Pecktrum (rainbow peacock) for this and heavy ammo

13. Gelatin Storm

Difficulty: 2/5
current numb of tries: 3
Rage: No

Bullet storm simulator. I would recommend to take agile monsties. (try to avoid those with trampler)
I used ricochet

14: (Don't) Touch That

Difficulty: 2/5
current numb of tries: 2
Rage: Yes

Very annoying. every plant can explode now. This can be helpfull when eleminating the more troublesome pins. Also the explosion also deals damage to monsters, so its not really that difficult
I used the monster dismount perk for more protections

15. Think Fast!

Difficulty: 2/5
current numb of tries: 1
Rage: no

not much to say on that one, not really challenging since you are fast. Totems helps you with its ammo. The map shape makes it so you can backtrack if needed

16. Equal and Opposite

Difficulty: 2/5
current numb of tries: 1
Rage: no

Take fast shooting weapons (like rasberry) and monsters that also does that. Not really hard, make sure to not have heavy shot or sniper since it will just break before reaching the monster

17. Power-Up Gauntlet

Difficulty: 2/5
current numb of tries: 1
Rage: no

18. Hot Potato

Difficulty: 3/5
current numb of tries: 1
Rage: no

Make sure the timer does not reach 0. frequently switch even in boss battles. During the last fight where you fight 2 totems, I had to switch 5 times.

19. Jumble Sale

Difficulty: 1/5
current numb of tries: 2
Rage: no

Watch as monsters kill themselves... A pacifist run is possible

Annddd 20. Boss Rush

Difficulty: 2/5
current numb of tries: 2
Rage: no..?

Deceptively not challenging... really isnt since you have powerups and the boss you capture where really strong for me (peacock, spider and mantis)
21. Perfectionist

Difficulty: Medium
Number of tries: 5
rage: No

Do not be fooled by its name!

It's actually isnt really isnt that hard...

You start with 1 HP but also have the ability to block 1 hit with a mount

The strategy here is that you can stack mounts and some of them, such as the flying butterfly has the ability to create 2 monster with their Ult

The strategy:

Capture as many monster as possible to have multiple meat shields, every hit you take will *first* be passed on to unmounted ally monsters first, use it to your advantage

End
I hope this guide helped you
