"Accidentally used the magma booster on my guy too early so instead of halving his hp with slain allies he got inked, so he had 500 instead of whatever you can get it as low as. Tho with the way im set up i could stall for hours lol"

A bit late and you probably found out anyway but: The fight is winnable if you rotate units (with the exception of Booshu who can't heal and Snoffel who will die in one hit) while getting hits on the FG, Heartmist and Booshu are able to heal any damage done so long as you rotate (Booshu's counter is 5, FG is 2 and Snoffel will freeze him occasionally) meaning you have a 100% win condition since FG's scaling is gone.
