Now, onto the issue. After giving it some thought, I’ve found a solution to the voice language selection problem in The Callisto Protocol. It turns out the problem lies in the TheCallistoProtocol-Win64-Shipping.exe file, which is located in this path:

\The Callisto Protocol\TheCallistoProtocol\Binaries\Win64

From what I’ve gathered (thanks to SteamDB and some experiments I’ll skip to save time), the game isn’t correctly verifying the language settings when we launch it through Steam. You can see the details of the latest modification here:

It shows that the TheCallistoProtocol-Win64-Shipping.exe file was recently modified:

"Modified – TheCallistoProtocol/Binaries/Win64/TheCallistoProtocol-Win64-Shipping.exe (+8.41 MiB)"

How to Fix It

Option 1 (easy):

Replace the file with an older version: You can download the older file here:
https://mega.nz/file/fZ4SDJBT#YbSboAW7juZ8COiZvvS515NYTtTV_LrswmHq5dXBYmY and simply replace it in the path mentioned above.

Option 2: Reinstall an earlier version of the game on Steam:

Press Win + R and type steam://open/console.
In the Steam console, type:

download_depot 1544020 1544021 4852073134158999523

Here, 1544020 is the AppID of the game, 1544021 is the DepotID (which includes all the game files), and 4852073134158999523 is the ManifestID that points to a specific version.

After downloading the older version, you’ll need to make sure Steam recognizes it correctly. Heads up: If you already have the game installed, you’ll need to delete the current files in the game’s folder before moving the new ones; otherwise, Steam will keep using the latest version by default.


And a Quick Note to the Developers:
Striking Distance Studios, the fact that this hasn’t been fixed after a month... is honestly a bit frustrating! I hope you can address this soon.

### **¿Cómo solucionarlo?**

Opción 1 (RECOMENDADA):

Reemplazar el archivo por una versión anterior:**
Puedes descargar el archivo viejo desde aquí:

y simplemente reemplazarlo en la ruta que mencioné antes.

Opción 2:

Reinstalar una versión anterior del juego en Steam:**
- Presiona `Win + R` y escribe `steam://open/console`.
- En la consola de Steam, escribe:
