Not only has my VRAM usage been significantly reduced, but I'm also getting more FPS, even with better textures.
Why was the maximum FPS capped at 200 (I've now set it to 60) and why can't I adjust it myself in the game settings?
And why exactly does this affect VRAM usage so drastically?
The fact is: it works.
Actual experience: GPU usage dropped enough that I went from 30-50fps with lots of stutter to a smooth 60fps@4k.
Thank you for this tip it made the game playable.
Better to test in night races (load is higher).
after you switched any graphiksettings off and back on, the 11gb switched to the real 8gb.
