Introduction
Not so long ago Rust Experimental became the default version, while launching through steam
but since the gameplay is radically different from the old version (Legacy), there was a lot of questions and misunderstandings about how the new game is played out. Below I will explain everything and I'll try to get you to understand.

All information is written by Morgun (Credit to this Guide) and obtained from various sites and forums, as well as his personal expirences and observations.

The Guide still is not 100% complete!
-----------SECTION 1 - FAQ-----------
In this section, I will answer the most frequently asked questions on Rust Experimental.
If you have any questions, please write them in the comments, I'll try to answer everybody.
I cannot connect to a server?
In the properties of the game you have to refuse to participate in the beta program, if you have previously signed up to them.
To do this, follow these steps:

1) Exit the game.
2) Go to the library Steam.
3) Right click on the game Rust and select Properties.
4) Go to the tab "Beta» (BETAS) in the window.
5) Choose: «NONE - Opt out of all beta programs».

After these steps, the Steam client must update the game.

If you have not helped these actions, simply reinstall the game, sometimes it also helps.
Why won't my Character wake up?
This problem should have been resolved in the latest update from 26/10/14, but for many it is still on some servers.
Here is the solution - on the screen with a sleeping character, open the console, using the F1 and type there respawn, this should help.
How do I suicide?
Open the console using the F1 and it type -- kill
How to increase FPS?
Coarse adjustment:

When you start the game you will come out the window Rust Configuration, there need to select the fastest.

Detailed settings:

1) Open the console using the F1 and type - graph.fps 1
Now at the bottom left you will see your fps, to understand how one or another setting will affect it.

2) In the game press F2 and opens the graphics settings menu. Change settings as you need to try increase your FPS

My advice - for maximum performance, disable all effects and lower the terrain quality parameters and shadow to zero.
But setting draw distance, I would not advise to change. It all depends on how far you want to see and how quickly you want to notice the enemy.
What is the purpose of the Wolf Statue?
So far, there is no practical use, and they only serve as a landmark. Total on the map are 4 of these statues.
Very strong radiation can usually be found around the statues too.
What is the radar/salitite for?
As well as a statue of a wolf/dog, it serves only as a landmark.
There is no radiation around it.
What are the skulls?
In this version of the game, they are useless, you can safely throw them away.
In the future they plan on using them in crafting.
Why are there bear trap?
In this version of the game trap still do not work, so it makes no sense to craft one.
In the future they plan to use it as a trap for the other players and animals.
How do i Censor the Nudity?
Open the console by pressing F1 and write:
censornudity true - Turns on Censor
censornudity false - Turns off Censor
How do I find my friend?
The map is very big, and make this a very difficult. You have several options:

1) Kill yourself using a console command kill, multiple times.

2) Try to find each other by landmarks and biomes as decriptions. IE. Im in the snow, Or im in the desert. This narrows than there searching area.
-----------SECTION 2 - THE MAP -----------
The rust map is divided into 3 different areas - snow, forest and desert. Each zone is different in what you will find.

In a snowy area and in the desert, as a rule, more resources (rocks and ores), but considerably less than the trees and animals.

In the forest zone of abundant animals and trees.

Another important feature - swimming across from island to island in a snowy area, you can die from the cold very quickly. In the desert and forest where the water is warmer you most likely will be fine.

Nb: In an upcoming update there will be a map to navigate easier.
-----------SECTION 3 - USEFUL TIPS-----------
In this section, I will post the most valuable and useful tips on survival.
New to this game!
1) The first thing striking new interface, it is very simple and convenient.
2) The game is added to the maximum carrying weight, with a hint of realism.
3) Our character is now able to swim
4) Change the system damage
5) Total redesign of the building system.
6) Added new items
7) Removed Rad Towns at present and infected animals (perhaps they will returned).
8) Added cannibalism - now we can eat human flesh.
9) Products can now spoil during prolonged storage
Cooking
Like in the old version of Rust (Legacy) you can harvest meat of animals. But now with the corpses of a dead body, you can also harvest and eat there flesh.

The meat you collect is raw (raw), and will poison you if eaten in this state, so we have to prepare and cook the meat. To do this, we craft a camp fire and place the meat in it.

Attention! In this version of the game meat can be burnt if cooked for too long on the fire, and then it will become worthless, and we can not eat it.
Remember to cook a piece of meat, you will need 60 wood. But cooking meat for longer than 70 wood will burn the food. So be careful!

Human meat - raw, cooked, burned and spoiled. Unfortunately they all have one texture, so find out about its condition, by moveing the cursor over it.
Animal meat - raw, cooked, burned and spoiled.

Also, there are several food items which will be able to be found in upcoming updates.

Finding Resources!
Unlike the old version of Rust, crafting requires more resources, but collecting resources is alot easier - balance maintained.

Resources remain the same - 3 kinds of ore and wood.

1) The tree is now more profitable to extract directly from, than the wood piles in the previous version.

The 3 types of ore (from left to right) - Sulfuric, Stone ,Metal

This is what the mined ore looks like,

2) Now in the game there are 4 kinds of animals.
There are bears, deer, wild boars and wolves.

From the animals, you can get the following; cloth, Animal Fat, Bones Fragments, Skulls, and of course the meat.

Building a House!
System construction was radically changed, now we are not able to produce the whole blocks and then just mount them.
Now step by step we have to build your home, and it is quite a long and tedious process which will take you any hour.

Let's get started.

1) First you need to choose a good enough location of his home, that is next to the resources and animals, and so that the house does not catch the eye. The map is large, and there is enough space.

2) We need to craft a building plan for our future home.

3) Put our plan in the Quick Access Toolbar (Hotbar) and Select it.
Now we can build a framework for future construction. To switch between the walls \ windows, and so on, Use the RMB to bring up building menu.

4) When you have set the frame house, it is time to proceed directly to the building.

To do this, craft a Hammer, place it in hand and begin to beat the framework. Over time you will notice that the appearance of the block will change, as you level it up.

Important!
You can build your walls, floors etc to levels 6, and as you hammer it consumes the appropriate amount and type of resources. The first 2 levels - tWood, the second two levels - the stone, and the last two levels - use metal fragments.

The actual construction of the house to be completely level 6 is very time-consuming, and very boring. Hammering for couple of hours on the walls is not uncommon but that is the price of safety.

Here is some potential home designs in the new versions of the game:
