When Unlocking "a" Random Key in the Locker Room, it will actually be 2-in-1. Just confirmed it having only 1 Key in my Inventory, using it, grabbing the Random Key, seeing a "+2" to my Keys.
"After falling through a Broken Concrete Hole and Entering a Hallway with a Bloody Trail on the Floor, to the Left at the End will be a Haunted laying Explosives. Turn around facing Right of the Door you entered through, there'll be Two Stacks of Pallets with Blue Wrapping. On Top is a Horizontal Statue trying to blend in with the Lamp."
"Entering the Apartment Floor where the Keeper first appears, wait for him to leave then sneak past the 1st Wire Mine down the Left Path, rounding to the Right. Take the next Left down a Hall with the 1st Acid Trap (can be avoided via the Room to the Right), directly ahead of it is Room "502". Inside, the Statue can be seen in a corner under V-Shaped Girders at your 2-o-Clock. Shoot it, then turn Left out of the Room through a Break in the Wall, 2nd Acid Trap immediately to the Right; disable it. Continue through going down a broken Flight of Stairs and encountering a 2nd Wire Mine; disable it while Sneaking (Beware the Keeper here on out). Ahead at the end of the Hall is Two more Wire Mines and 3rd Acid Trap on the Left, opposite that is a Broken Wall to another Room. The Key will be sitting inside just to the Left as you enter."
Gotta admit, that first description by the Author is atrocious, it required vastly more detail.
1. Went Right Path first;
2. On the room before the lithograph, climbed up on the spike trap, got the key and went down the ladder - spikes were gone;
3. Completed left path, and went back normally to the path without gas.
Maybe it's necessary to drop down the ladder to get back there without the spikes?
I did the right path first because this guide indicated that was the first way to go to find keys, however spikes are blocking me from returning to that pathway - both from the entrance and the exit.
After turning off the first isolated gas pump I returned to the right path but found the spikes there already. I returned after completing the left path entirely but found the spikes still there. Now the Keeper has trapped me and I cannot go back to the 3x lithograph area.
I can only assume that going the left pathway first avoids any chance of a denied key. I'm quite frustrated at the level designer who decided to put those spikes there at all. I can only assume this guide's author had no idea of this issue.
However, A Soul Reaver's suggestion to use the autosave after completing the left passage works. As soon as you put in the three lithographs and see the checkpoint hit, reload the autosave the spikes will have vanished.
Loading a manual save does not work. It must be the autosave.
