GUIDE
1. Controls: Like other games, left joystick is to move (if you choose the config in-game), but you could change it to the right instead. Grips are to grip things (obviously) and triggers are to shoot, and the controller you're holding the primary grip for the gun in is the controller to fire with.
2. Reloading: With the standard rifle you just have to press A and the mag should eject, if not then you could grab it with your hand and/or while holding A. LMG's are very different, because first you have to pull up the 2x4 (except with metal) on the top, then grab the ammo feed (if it's still there), and then hold A while grabbing the ammo box. To load do the same thing backwards. Snipers are basic to reload, all you have to do is pull back the bolt, eject the mag and then put a new one in then push the bolt back. With shotguns you have to grab shells one at a time from where ammo normally is, and if you were completely out don't forget to ♥♥♥♥/pull the thingy sticking out of the side (simplified language)
3. UI: Onward's UI is very simple, if you don't get it you probably shouldn't be playing the game.
INFO
1. Physics: Onward's physics are unique, as the weapons almost feel weightless and shake with (almost) every heartbeat.
2. Health: Onward is (somewhat) realistic, as 2-3 shots will usually end your life with an AR. Damage varies with the caliber, range, body part and luck (yes, luck).
3. Community: The community is usually very kind, but there are toxic players like every other game, People usually help people with the game, so it's very noob/new user friendly (unless you're a squeaker)
4. The devs: The devs are very chill, as they listen to the community, and work very hard on the game. Although the game doesn't update very often, when they do it's usually a lot of content added or changed.
5. Maps: Maps are usually somewhat large, ranging from less than a mile2 to around 5 miles2 (i think), the game has a variety of maps, some taking place in the middle east, north america, a few european maps (i think), as well as the amazing feature called community maps.
6. Guns/Weapons: Onward has a variety of guns, most are well known, such as the AK-47, FAMAS, and M4-A1. The game also has lesser known weapons, a knife, and throwables. There's also an RPG-7 and C-4 for psychos.
7. Difficulty: Onward is a tricky game, you can't just go rushing in like it's COD (most of the time), and it requires precision/accuracy, tactics, communication, and luck. A LOT of luck. It doesn't take long to get figured out, you kind of have to go with the flow, no one really gets it all down perfect. People will gladly help you (sometimes), although I wouldn't jump right into a tactical gamemode right away, Free Roam is good for beginners because there's no real objective and you can respawn.
