Book One - Chapter Two: Awakenings - Propast and Interlude Walkthrough

This is a walkthrough of the Propast segment of the second chapter of Dreamfall Chapters. It also includes the Interlude at the end of Book One.

Welcome Traveler
You are about to go on a very long journey and the road that lies ahead is filled with challenges and mysteries. It is of the utmost importance that you try to experience this journey for yourself, otherwise much of the experience will be lost. In the event that you do get stuck however, I hope this guide will help you find your way.
Food for the Boyfriend
After the conversation with Dr Zelenka is finished, interact with the Exit to leave the office and go to the streets of Propast.



After the conversation between Nela and the Eye Agents is finished you receive a phone call from Reza. After the phone call talk to Nela to receive Reza’s Food.

The next thing you have to do is find Reza’s Office (the Hand that Feeds).

Walk straight ahead, then go down the Stairs. After that go right and just follow the River. Make sure it is always on the left. Finally go left at the Collapse Memorial that should bring you to the Hand that Feeds.



If you get lost you can always ask Crowboy for directions.

Once you found the Office, talk to Reza in order to give him the Food you brought. Once the conversation is over, it is time to head to work.
Mira & Wit – Testing the Tin Can
Your job is determined by your choice at the end of the Storytime segment. If Zoë is wearing the grey clothes you are working for Mira and Wit. If Zoë is wearing the red clothes you are working for Ada. If that is the case, skip to the Playing with Fishies segment of the Walkthrough.



To get to the Pandemonium go right at the Collapse Memorial Statue and follow the River again.

Interact with the Buzzer to enter the Building. Talk to Mira and then activate the Shìtbot. After the Shìtbot is activated, exit to Propast to start testing. There are four tests that you can do in any particular order.
Shìtbot - Human Interaction
Once you select Human Interaction, follow Shìtbot to the right location.

Once you have arrived at the correct location, choose one of the three directions. Don’t worry, your choice won’t have any real consequences here as Shìtbot just flies away no matter what you do.



To find Shìtbot again, go in the direction the Woman is facing and walk up the Stairs. Finally go right. Once you see Shìtbot you can talk to him to start another test.
Shìtbot - Security Program
The Security Program is the easiest test. Simply select the test and go through the Conversation. Once the conversation is finished, you can move on the next test.
Shìtbot - Repair Program
Once you select Repair Program, follow Shìtbot to the right location.



Shìtbot needs specific instructions in order to fix the Fuse. Look at the Burnt-out Fuse and the Maintenance Instructions.

Then sent Shìtbot to repair the Burnt-out Fuse. After Shìtbot fails once again you can choose the next test.
Shìtbot – Bot to Bot communication
Once you select Bot to Bot communication, follow Shìtbot to the right location.

Shìtbot is very picky about the Bots he communicates with, but he does have a lot of fun playing with the pigeons if you let him.



The Bot you are looking for is the Welding Bot near the Gallery. Tell Shìtbot to interact with this one in order to complete this test.
Mira & Wit – Work Assessment
Once you have done all the tests and figured out what is up with the WEL-ding it is time to follow Shìtbot one last time and return to Mira and Wit to see how you did.

Enter the Pandemonium and talk to Mira.



After Mira gives a description of your shìtting shìtty shìt performance it is time to do some politics. Skip to the Propast Politics segment of the walkthrough.
Ada – Playing with Fishies
Ok… time for alternate choices. If you have just finished working for Mira, skip to the Propast Politics segment of the walkthrough. If not, let’s get some work done, shall we?



After you have left the Hand that Feeds, go right past the Collapse Memorial Statue and then up the Stairs. Then go left, right, up the Stairs and then left again. You should see the Rent’A Lab Posters and if you go left once more you will arrive at the Lab.

Click on the Door to enter the Lab. After Ada has finished talking, take a look at the Algae. Then exit to Propast to start testing the Algae.
Kidbot – The First Test Area
Talk to the Kidbot and then follow her to the River. Once you arrive, talk to the Kidbot. This will reveal the 3 test locations where the Algae will be released.

After the cut scene follow the Kidbot to the first test.



Wait until the Kidbot has finished scanning the area. After the scan is complete point the Kidbot to the Pollution. When the Kidbot is finished follow her to the next test area.
Kidbot - The Second Test Area
Once you arrive at the second location wait for the Kidbot to complete the scan.

Point Kidbot at the first Barrel and have her push it out of the way. Tell Kidbot to do the same thing with the other Barrel. She will say that it is too heavy for her to move.



Direct the Kidbot to pick up the Coiled Robe that is hanging on the Boat. Then use the Robe on the Kidbot and then direct her to the Barrel. Then finally direct her to the Boat to secure the Robe.

Talk to the Ferryman, he reveals that the sound of the Bell will cause the Ferry to move when someone rings it.



You can try to ring the Bell yourself or have the Kidbot try to ring the Bell, but the Ferryman won’t stand for it. It seems you have to try something else.

Direct the Kidbot to the Red Lantern above the Bell and tell her to drop it.

Once the Ferry is on the other side and you have talked to the Kidbot, direct her to Pollution to finish the second test. Then follow the Kidbot to the third test area.
Kidbot – The Third Test Area
Once you arrive at the third location wait for the Kidbot to complete the scan.

This time around there are three Potential Pollution spots. Choose one and then direct the Kidbot to drop the “fishies”.



After the conversation with Ada is finished you get to manually control the Kidbot.

By using the arrows that are pointing in different directions you can tell Kidbot to push the Algae towards the Pollution spots.



Three times is the charm. Once you have found the correct spot, it is time to head back to Ada and see how well you did.
Ada – Work Assessment
Walk back in the direction of the Lab, the Kidbot will follow you until you are interrupted by Mira. After that you can just follow the Kidbot again.

After arriving at the lab, talk to Ada once more to finish the job. Then it’s time to do some Politics.


Propast Politics
If you were working for Mira & Wit, exit the Pandemonium and go right. If you were working for Ada, exit the Lab and go back to the River.

Follow the River to the Souk (past the Memorial Statue) and then just keep going straight. Once you find Baruti a cutscene will play.



Baruti needs you to talk to Queenie. Go back and follow the River in the opposite direction until you find her Boat.
A Gift for Queenie
Once you arrive at the Boat, talk to the Girl. She will tell you that a gift is required from you in order to speak with Queenie.



Look at the Gifts on the table, amongst them is a very expensive looking Bottle. Go to the Vendor at the next table, he is selling the same Bottle. Look at the Wine, then talk to the Vendor.

The Bottle is too expensive. You should look around and see if there are any other vendors selling it.

A Vendor and a Customer are arguing about the prize of an item a bit further down the road. The Woman is also selling the Bottle you are looking for, look at it.



Offer the Vendor the Cryptocoin you received from Baruti. She will now sell you the Baiju at a special prize, but it’s still too expensive.

Return the Vendor at the table you were at earlier and talk to him. Then return to the Woman once more, she will now sell you the Baiju at an even lower prize. Give her the Cryptocoin. Then return to Queenies Boat.
A Cookie Crumb Trail
Return to Queenie’s Boat and use the Bottle on the Girl.

After the conversation with Queenie go to Nela Bites, near the Seshadri Tower. Once you arrive at the Cart, look at the Sign.



Now you have to find out where Nela gets her supplies. Look at the Food Crate behind the cart and open it. Then take the Receipt and inspect it. There is an address on the other side.

If you don’t know where to go ask Crowboy, but basically go past Crowboy, right and then down. There you will find Nela.



After the conversation with Nela go back to Baruti at the Campaign HQ. Go straight and then left to get to the Souk where the HQ is.
Home Sweet Home
After making your choice, talk to Baruti. After conversation is over, you have to head Home.

To get there, run back the way you came – past Nela and up the Stairs one level - and then go straight and then right until you arrive at the Plaza.



Interact with Buzzer to enter the House.

Approach Reza to give him a kiss. There are several choices you can make that define your relationship with Reza.

After the interactions with Reza are finished the Chapter ends.

Interlude – House of All Worlds
In this part of the Chapter you control Saga as she flails her hands, makes cute sounds and runs around in the House of All Worlds.



Try to leave the Crib. Saga can’t climb over. Use the Pillow and then try again. There is a Light moving through the House, follow it.

As soon as you see Father, stop running because the sound will make him see Saga. Stick close to the Wall and walk under the Table with the tablecloth.



The Light goes through a Door. Try to open it. Saga can’t reach high enough. Interact with Mother several times. When you have her attention try to open the Door again, she will then open it for you.

Once the door is open enter the Room and pick up the Toy on the ground to end this book….

My configuration is core i7, 6 gb of DDR3 ram, video card gtx 560 1gb DDR 5

Hey Daniel, how is your game compared to the minimum specs? If you are below minimum specs than your PC might not be able to handle Europolis (as it is quite heavy compared to the rest of the game). If you are above minimum specs this is most likely a bug and you should get in touch with RTG. Just to be sure, but restarting the game did not solve the issue?

J_Whateve really thank you very much, I did get stuсk with the "ring the Bell" task and your Walkthrough saved me.
And I also greatly appreciate your stile to not to expose any spoilers of the story itself - your somehow managed to describe only what to do but not what one can think or chose!
I think all three of your walkthroughs deserves all 5 stars!
