Dragon Endurance

Dragon Endurance

Dragon Endurance is unlocked by slaying the Undead Dragon in Endurance mode. Most likely a team was required to achieve this. That will need to be the case here. Wave after Wave of Dragons hunt you down in this mode, with each Wave getting stronger and stronger. How much Dragon Endurance do you have?

Dragons
Dragons!! Everybody loves dragons. Unless they're insanely hostile!
Castleminer Z brings you the biggest baddest dragons you'll ever want to face in a voxel!
Here's the line up:
(In order of appearance)

  • Fire Dragon

  • Forest Dragon

  • Sand Dragon

  • Ice Dragon

  • Undead Dragon

Each wave gets even stronger and stronger, so don't expect your Rambo attitude to last very long.
Dragon Endurance
Congratulations! For some it takes months, others may do it in the first go 'round, and some, well, some have not yet attained.
Dragons; no zombies, Bones; no Archers. What more could you ask for?
Though killing the first Wave of Dragons isn't exactly difficult to the seasoned miner, Dragon slaying is messy work. If you want to stay alive you will need some basic common sense about these restless monsters.

First thing you should know is that each and every wave of Dragons that pursue you will get even stronger and stronger.

If all you have is a pick in your hand, don't be ashamed, DIG!!!
Whatever you do, don't let them get the shot on you. Their hot tempers will roast you in one quick swoop. Without some serious firepower it would be wisest to dig straight down so as to avoid any hair loss.

Laser Tech is my best suggestion against any foe.
Beware: Even this superior Alien firepower doesn't stand a chance against Dragons after Wave 5. Be prepared.

Stock up on crafting materials by the stacks. Moon Rock, Goo, diamonds, and more than enough coal. Crafting weapons on the go is essential. Otherwise you will be looking for your ores and items while trying to defend yourself against merciless Mobs.

If you get "tired", it's highly advised to hunker down in a bunker or cave that is well below the reach of destructive fireballs. You may feel somewhat safe, but make sure that you are completely inaccessible to other enemies as well.
CAUTION! Bones will spawn in pitch black areas!

Bonus!
Safety
Make a cozy cave below the surface. Not to too shallow or Dragons will blast your roof to pieces and certainly let in more than a draft.

Mountains provide the best natural form of protection from Dragons. Even the right place in a nice solid mountain peak is ideal for any amount of crafting and "AFK"ing.

Safety generally comes at a cost. Whether payment is to someone else in the form of Diamonds and Gold, or you bust your own pick mining and building your own structures. Regardless of the architects, safe havens will be found indoors and underground.
For a deeper look into a well established sanctuary city, have a look at Moose's Moose Mountain Server Rules. These well established communities provide not only safety but also trading, merchants, ammo, and even lodging, apartments, and private condos!
Loadouts
These are my personal Loadout recommendations (commonly known as the Hotbar)

'Combat Engineer' Weapons Craftsman Loadout

Two weapons and plenty of material to quickly craft weapons and ammo on the go, you'll find about 2,500 rounds of ammo for each weapon type to be an easy number for the trained Laser Tech Craftsman, or any Combat Engineer.

'Pathfinder' Defender Loadout

Best suited for long distance journeys and team efforts, this choice of hotbar items requires trust and skill, as you have to be wise about inventory decisions. Defenders are prepared to take the lead as well as provide enough cover fire for any teammates in proximity.

Mercenary Loadout

Mercs are ready for battle at any given moment. This particular example exhibits a combat based loadout which include a Bloodstone Dagger, three high power laser rifle classes, and a Dragon-Guided Missle Launcher. In a PvP face off I would not suggest trying to take on a seasoned Merc. Dragons, that goes for you too!

Dragon Slayer Loadout

Dragon Slayers are similar to Mercenaries except less rifles and more RPG's. These loadouts generally go along with Creative, Dragon Endurance, and Endurance team scenarios.

Upper-Tier Craftsman Loadout

Able to quickly craft many upper tier items, this loadout is most useful in a support position. Craftsmen are highly essential in long distance teamwork situations, quickly crafting the upper tier item such as Diamond tools and Golden arms as needed.

Traveler

The Lone Wanderer, or Expeditionary Point, is a well-prepared, well-armed, and well-trained soloist. Travelers tend to stray far away from the flock and have strong senses of independence and pioneering spirit.

'Collector' Master Miner Loadout

Master Miners have one job, and one job only, mine. All they hold are Ores and Tools as they run and mine every single thing in their path. These unarmed excavation experts must be under constant protection of a Defender.

'Laser Tool Engineer' "The Force" Loadout

The title says it all. These mining experts are highly proficient at producing Saber Picks for his team. Able to mine through anything in his way, "The Force" gives you an endless supply of laser mining utensils.
Endurance

One thing in common needed by anyone alive on this planet is endurance. Staying alive for any amount of time requires lots of endurance.
Note:Mobs in Dragon Endurance are tougher than normal, particularly Bones. Make ammo by the 1,000's!

Dragon hunting alone for long is not recommended. Venturing into Alien territory alone is not recommended at all!
Use your best judgement when it comes to rationing your metals and materials.

Tip: 1 torch yields 4 lanterns

this brings back so many memories! i used to play castleminerz on xbox 360 almost ever day, i remember staying up, sometimes for DAYS playing with friends trying to get to the undead dragon! and my heart would always start beating so fast when we got to miners haven because its like, oh my gosh we're almost there after so long!! the worst part was getting through the bloodstone area after, that part was terrifying.. what i usually did was try and make a bridge high enough off the ground that zombies cant get me, downside is that it was very slow. killing the undead dragon filled me with the most dopamine my brain has ever recived i loved it so much!! this game makes me so nostalgic and brings back so many fond memories... i love it!!

God I remember playing this in 2013, running thousands of blocks to get back to the group because hardly anyone I played with knew how to use TPs haha.
