Aside from the tiny Crystal from Culture the Advent have no strong way to make large amounts of Crystal without owning an least one or two Ice/Crystalline Planets.
This completely stalls the economy & development of Advent, and prices & crashes prevent using the Market as the primary source of Crystal.
The only "solution" i found is to avoid the small randomly-generated maps as Advent and play only on the larger maps, where there is hopefully enough planets that at least some will spawn as Ice/Crystalline and be accessible in early/mid game.
I hope devs add an Advent Planet Item for Volcanic planets that converts their mined Metal into a % of Crystal, so that when RNGenerated maps spawn several Volcanic planets and zero accessible Ice/Crystal planets Advent have a backup option of getting at least some reliable Crystal.
- With influence, I think there is the maximum influence stock you can hold at a time, and the rate at which it is generated?
- As with culture, a brief breakdown and sources for max influence points and influence generation would be cool. Probably similar as above, planet items and research. Not so much orbital structures generally, no?
Any chance that the guide could expand on culture and influence, or for a separate guide on those topics?
From what I understand, there are a few linkages and maybe less obvious nuances with those game systems:
- An overview of the positive and negative effects of culture on gravity wells per faction would be a useful cheat sheet.
- As would be a breakdown of the most common tools to increase own/ decrease enemy culture. I suspect: orbital structures, planet items, and research?
- Aside from localised gravity well effects, I think owned systems under your culture also generate influence (or add to max influence). So, similarly useful to mention in a guide somewhere.
