Guts is also pretty good as it's essentially 1 free save from death per mission, but ideally you won't leave a character so out in the open that they need to benefit from it. It's really good on the final boss though.
tl;dr I recommend getting every character to level 2 Brawler as early as possible to get Hard Shell and Payback. They're easily some of the best skills in the game, 4 cogs isn't a bad price for them, and they'll save you on healing items once you get Payback+ unlocked.
This means that she damages every enemy within Aura 2 from Crowbar[\b], except for the enemy shot (the shot enemy won't be hit twice).
My understanding is that she benefits more from Engineer weapon, as they always shoot twice or thrice each turn, potentially causing 12 damage enemies near her
I would add some class combo suggestions for starters and eventually a summary for each class how many extra cogs they can get.
As you mentioned it correctly (which is awesome as I feel most people would overlook it) Daisy is a special example which make her a great easy to level S-Tier character early on due to her personal second special talent.
Maybe as an absolute bonus it is also great to have examples for a good use of skills, such as brawler's free sidearm + boomer's slot machine + boxes of sidearms/three equipped sidearms. Or that Cornelius' free grenade personal talent is kinda overpowered with boxes of grenades.
Good work!
