I'm new, what do I do and how do I play?
Well, lets start off by saying this. Black Ice is in development currently in a sort of early access period, not ALL the content in this game has been added yet and so this guide is not going to be 100% accurate in the future. I will update it when I can or if I remember though!

Loop:
The loop of the game is to do quests and main quests (found in Inbox tab) in order to progress while also hacking servers in the process. Getting loot, levelling, selecting talents and perks is part of your progress!

Servers:
Servers are essentially your overworld enemies, while big buildings like Finality Incorporated are your dungeons and raids, the toughest of the content!

Servers have many factors that play into how they function or what they provide, specific servers are needed for certain bounties and Super Duper drops. One factor that you take into consideration when hacking a server is what affixes does it have?

Affixes are like PoEs map system, they will have modifiers that make them more difficult/unique. Hack speed is determined by a stat which is hack speed, you can quick hack a server by clicking Q instead of whatever the bind is where you place your hacker.

Affixes:

Linked - Links multiple servers together, the main link will activate all other connected servers if its the one that is hit.
Swarm - Summons hordes of enemies
Fire - All enemies can ignite you, are weak to ice and resistant to fire
Ice - All enemies can freeze you, are weak to fire and resistant to ice
Dark - Enemies are cloaked
Mines - Enemies now drop mines on death
Regenerating - Enemies now regenerate HP over time
Overclocked - Enemies are now faster
Upgraded - Harder enemies
Low Gravity - Lower gravity
Constricting - Zone now shrinks
Oscillating - The zone now shrinks and grows
Evading - The zone now moves around
Escalating - Each wave of enemies is harder
Slow Projectiles - Enemies and player bullets move slower
Frictionless - Terrain is slippery
Lockout Enemies - A mini boss enemy spawns, preventing hack progress until it is killed
Encrypted - Server/Icebreaker must be defended
Explosive - Enemies now explode a bit after being killed
Take no Damage - Hack is cancelled if you are damaged
Proxy - Collect "puddles" to continue a hack
Respec?
Can you respec?
You betcha you can!

Perks
Every 15 levels, through the progression tree a player will be awarded with one respec point, this can be used to reset any perk you wish to that you have selected.

Stats
To reset stats, simply acquire Ouros through bounties and then go to your stats panel and click the negative and confirm VIA the window to respec a stat.
Stats
Stats, how they work and gear interactions between stats:
Stats are found on modules, weapons, minions, jumps, dashes, teleports, you name it! If it can drop, it can have stats. Stats provide either buffs or debuffs to the player or item that it correlates to.

Items based on rarity can have either little, or many stats. An epic will have the most stat rolls while common will have the least. Super Duper items are their own tier of gear that have more set in stone perks, kind of like set gear.

Lets move onto what all the stats are in the game:

Crafting
Crafting, upgrading and rerolling gear:
In Black Ice, the gear that you get may be close to perfect, or very good but with a huge imperfection. Luckily the game lets us upgrade gear, reroll stats and even make new items with targeted rarities/classes.

Recycle Bin:
The Recycle Bin works by taking 3 items to produce a new one, if you put 3 Super Duper items in, you will get a single Super Duper back out from the machine. If you put a sacrifice type item, you will get that said item as a Super Duper (If following the reference)

This means if you want a Super Duper SMG, you can throw 3 random SD items into the bin, throw a SMG as your fourth item, and get a brand new SD rarity SMG. Same goes for any other item in the game!

The Recycle Bin will base the rarity of the new item upon your lowest rarity put in, so make sure to maximize it, along with this it will be the average of the 3 items you put in regarding level of output-item.

Upgrade Rarity Machine
This lets you grab any item that is RARE or less and bring it up by a tier. This will give the item a stat, and make it generally better.

Reroll Item Affix Machine
You will be using this item to reroll stats that you don't want on items that you find, lets say you get +Dizzy Projectiles on a weapon, you can come here and infinitely reroll the affix to become a new one, though be warned, you can only pick a single affix to reroll and it locks you from the other options. So while you can infinitely change the affix of one of your lets say 5 stats, its the only one you can change for that piece.
Achievements and unlocks
Achievements:
As you play the game you will complete achievements and earn Achievement Points, checking your achievement list is a great way to progress the game in another way apart from server hacking.

Unlocks:
Achievement points can then be used to unlock new perks, talents, affixes and also items. You want to use these points on the things you want first, and the stuff you want last. This is because harder achievements take longer to get, so target what you want the most first.

Along with unlocks, as you play your world tier will increase based on the hardest content you do, at specific world levels you will unlock new items that can drop in your world, new enemies to encounter, new affixes on servers and much, much more. Every 50 world levels = 1 World Tier cap, allowing you to infinitely scale the game.
Minions are confusing
Minions:
Minions count as weapons, while also being kind of their own player at the same time, its super weird and confusing, but this will clear up all the info you need for it!

How do minion scale?
Minions will scale from +HP on gear, and Damage% from your modules. The rest is up to them!

Minions themselves scale from stats on their gear drop. If the Minion has crit chance, attack speed, and so on, they get those buffs like a player would.

The AIM-RAID perk will allow Aimbot minions to gain the type of your weapon, not the stats. If you have a bounty requiring you to deal Shotgun damage, if a shotgun is the weapon being used for AIM-RAID, the minions don't deal 'Shotgun damage.'
