"Hello everyone. Long time no see. While overworked I managed to complete first few soldiers on the Crete project. Here you can see the front officer you were able to see in the raw render image in one of the update posts. So yeah. Sorry for being so slow.

Now something about this soldier. I had plenty of struggles with this one. Firstly the MP40. As it was non-TF2 model I had to "cartoonize" it, which took quite an effort. In the raw image you could see him having the stock unfolded, but I ultimately decided to have it folded, as it looks way better and does not disrupt the camo. As this is an early concept and a "sneak peak", it is not finished. It is still missing a sling, which I will have to draw from scratch.

Anyway. Next are some custom drawn accesories, such as mag pouches, belt, buckle, boots and the helmet. The major thing was the camouflage. Sure the splatters were fairly easy. Just follow the raw image, but those little lines were a bit more difficult. I had quite a few attempts at it, but in the end I settled with manual drawing using a tablet.

Now little bit about the insignia. As you can see. Soldier has a blue uniform underneath the camo blouse, which was used by the Luftwaffe. The rank is also a Luftwaffe one and it is Senior officer candidate. Then we have the buckle. I decided to use the noncensored version to keep it realistic. With this I must say:
