Authentic Citizen Facemaps

Kuvaus
I noticed the facemaps for the HL2 citizens have some differences from the original leak textures, so I edited them to have the same features from the original textures while staying within the release style.

Replaces the face textures for all the downtrodden citizens both male and female. Some changes are very minimal so you might not notice.

Feel free to use the textures in your own mods with credit.

they will work with the default playermodels, but a lot of addon playermodels with hl2 citizen faces tend to not reference the base game files for the materials so you may not always see the texture replacement on your playermodel.

no, I wanted to avoid replacing all of them but if you decompile the addon you can add them to overwrite the group02, group03 and group03m folders

does this affect refugees?
galunga  [tekijä] 3.8.2024 klo 12.55
yes, I couldn't make them new models due to issues with my decompiler that would affect the quality of the models

I'm not sure about it since the base hl2 models use an older eye shader and the value name seems to indicate ambient occlusion, but you can always try. If it doesn't do anything you might just have to replace the VTF files with a custom texture instead, I would recommend checking the valve developer wiki to help with any shader info, as I'm not too experienced myself.
