1. Spell of Arts (Martial Arts)
Usually, the higher grade the Arts, the more powerful it is.

Yes, in this game the higher grade the Art is, the more Powerful it is; But that doesn't equal to "the more useful it is".

Grade ranking in this game is Heaven(Golden) > Gaia (Purple) > Sky(Blue) > Earth(Green). You can judge how powerful an Art is by its colour.

However, as usefulness... It becomes Gaia (Purple) > Earth (Green) > Heaven(Gold) > Sky(Blue). Arts in Gaia and Earth grades are mostly very useful, while Arts in Heaven grade is somehow useful, and Arts in Sky grade almost equal to trash, not even worth the effort of learning.

Summoning, as the most powerful combat style for now, is almost a must if you want to be an effective combatant. And you can find powerful summoning skills among Arts in Gaia(Purple) grade, plus healing spell/skills (it will be mentioned in detail later). Therefore the Arts in Gaia grade is among the most useful and powerful Arts you must learn.

Arts in Earth(Green) grade are not as powerful as Arts in Gaia grade, but Arts in Earth grade is all kinds of "Foundation Strengthening" arts. Most of the weapons in game you can find corresponding Arts in Earth that can boost weapons' damage by 20%. It is a serious boost so choose your Art in Earth grade accordingly. Plus Arts in Earth grade is easy to be acquired, that is why Arts in Earth grade is very useful as well.

Speak of what, Arts in Sky(Blue) grade have NO summoning skills at all, almost No healing skill either, No damage enhancing skill as well, just skills that unleash direct damage with insane long cool-down period. That is why I consider Arts in Sky grade is useless, not even worth learning.
2. Some detailed tips about Taoist body -- The misunderstanding of "default weapon"
When you click on Taoist body tag there is a pop-up window will show the details of that Taoist body. Mostly everyone will focus on "Default Weapon" or "Weapon".

Eventually, that "Weapon" is referring to that kind of Taoist body has a "Chance" to receive according weapon mastery when leveling up....uh, I mean, breaking through into new stage. If your disciple didn't receive weapon mastery when breaking through, then using any weapon makes no difference for him/her.

How to know what weapon mastery your disciple has? Go into detailed Disciple information window and you can find every mastery your disciple has learned so far, located at lower right corner.

And the chance of receiving weapon mastery when breaking through: Green colour Taoist Body = 0%. Yup, Totally Hopeless. So you don't need to bother with "Default Weapon" if your disciple has Green Taoist body. He/She will receive NO weapon mastery anyway. The only way to boost weapon damage is through learning Arts in Earth(Green) grade, but that has nothing to do with Taoist body.

As for other coloured body type, the chance of receiving weapon mastery per breakthrough seems increasing by 20% or 25% per tier, so blue colour = 20%~25%, purple = 40%~50%, gold = 60%~75%.
3. Mana Circulation, or in short "Circulation"
You can find "Mana Circulation" when you exam the detail of Arts of Spells (or martial arts for now). Also when you go into Trial Tower and Illusory realms you will see it.

Lets explain what "Mana Circulation" is, in brief.

"Circulation" is a concept in martial art/Spellcaster of China. Cultivators (martial/spell alike) enhance their body and power by cycling their inner force (named as Qi or Ling - Mana - Spirit) through their bodies. The body will be enhanced when each cycle of inner force completed and the enhancing can be stacked. Therefore you can count how much power-boosting you have by counting how many cycles your inner force cycle through your body.

This is Mana Circulation/Circulation.

Therefore you can see some information like "Mana Circulation: + Str +ATK " etc etc when you examing Arts of spell, or when you draw your enhancement when fighting in Trial Tower. The Mana Circulation here means how many cycles the inner force (mana) already cycle through disciple's body.

So you can count how much boost your disciple can have via simple calculating formula : boost * circulation time = value

Ex :

You draw an enhancement in Trial Tower, which says your disciple will have 5 circulation.

Your disciple learned 2 Arts of spell, lets assume 1 of them boost STR+2 and another boost DEX+1

then what boost your disciple will have is : 2 STR * 5 = 10 STR and 1 DEX * 5 = 5 DEX.
4. Breakthrough - What is the purpose of inferior breakthrough?

Inferior breakthrough offer an affordable also easier way to let your disciple break into higher stage. Usually for those "Servant" type disciples.

Not all your disciples have to be combatants. But almost everyone has a job to do. Breaking into higher stage also means higher Stamina / Mental, then your disciples can stay on working station longer time, waste less time running here and there, busying to restore themselves.

Also Breaking through into higher stage means cultivator will gain longer lifespan - what is the purpose of cultivation? Live Long And Prosper!

You should seriously consider inferior breakthrough at earlier stage. Later when you are more-than-rich you surely can give every of your disciple best breakthrough options.

No hard feeling, really.
End. The most powerful combination of Arts...?
No, I won't say this. I will only recommend you an "Affordable" combination of Arts.

First, Taoist body ... That doesn't really matter. I prefer "Demon" bcz it has good chance granting mastery of Twin Blade. But you just choose any Taoist body you want, if default weapon is "Twin Blade" that will be better.

Spell of Arts : This is what really matter.

1st. You need "Mo Sword", an Arts in Gaia(purple) grade which you already have several in stock when you start the game. Later you can shop this art in Prestige shop, easy to acquire.

(The true name of this book should be "Swordplay of House Mo", but due to technical limitation they can't put a long name on it, will be chopped off by codes)

2nd. You need to buy "Bat Book" (Eventually this book should be known as [Sutra of Returning to Void] ), from Faith Shop usually.

Bat Book can boost damage of Twin Blade by 20%, and let you summon 3 bats in fight to assist you. plus 2 more powerful sidekicks from "Mo Sword" you are already formidable in a fair fight.

3rd. There is still 1 more slot for Art of Spell, so lets grab a "Crane Book" (Again, the true name should be [The Lofty Crane Scroll]).

Crane Book will let you summon a crane which is able to fire Long Range attacks. Also Crane Book has a quick-fire long range damaging spell, which is quite useful at early stage.

Later you can replace Crane book with Northern book(Arts in Gaia grade, purple colour), which provide healing spell along with a powerful deer capable of range attack. Also can be shopped in Prestige shop.

Now you should be able to beat something out of your opponents, as long as you properly enhance your weapon and armor, consume enough boosting elixirs, and receive sufficient teaching from Sect Beast.
