A short guide for the Tatrek map. The planet is in the S200_190 star which is the topmost on the star map.

My general strategy was to go for the spore tower as soon as possible and put the first reactor in its spot, getting the huge energy bonus before the creep gets too high.

I didn't get many screenshots to go off unfortunately, so there are missing steps.

Steps

Start off at the bottom middle on top of an ore spot.

Once most of the collectors have been built, start on the nullifier for the spore tower.
While the nullifier is building, build a mortar with spare energy to slow down the creep.
When the mortar is done, build a laser.

Once the first reactor is built, build 2 more mortars and a terp. Giving a total of 3 mortars, 1 laser, 1 terp and a reactor.
When the Command Node gets low on health, hover it for a while from the ore patch to the top totem node. Making sure it stays in range of the network

Terp is used to:
  • Hollow out the spot for the command center
  • Protect the reactor
  • Block off the left side

Build extra reactors as you go.

When the spore timer gets to about 1:30, build 4 beams for spore defence. This is a good point to save.

Keep an eye on energy levels and ammo levels, this is the tricky bit. The beams suck up energy quickly to recharge, anything that is building might have to be paused. You could also pause a beam or mortar supply.

Build 4th and then 5th mortar.

With 5 mortars, 1 covering the left side, the position is pretty stable. An extra 2 beams are also needed.
Next steps would be forge, connect the 2 totems and then the ore patches or go straight for the inhibitor.
Notes
Save and Reload often. I had a lot of problems with the creep overflowing the unprotected spots, the spores not getting shot down or I used up too much energy at once.

I never really thought to build a wall this way. (I know, after 300h+ of playtime) Cool idea, thanks
