White Rider Achievement Guide
By TheTitaniumDragon
Get the White Rider achievement by branding enemies guarding slaves prior to mounting your caragor; if you brand the guards to 20-25 slaves, then kill them after you've mounted your caragor, you can easily free the remaining number of slaves wtihout difficulty.

Branding
This achivement is most easily obtained after you gain the ability to brand enemies and to kill all enemies you have branded. You gain the ability to brand enemies a few missions into the second half of the game, when you first brand a warchief, though it may be wise to wait until you gain the ability to use a simple ranged attack to mount caragors, which you can purchase after the graug hunt with the dwarf.

Once you have gained the ability to brand enemies, gaining this achievement is simple:

1) Sneak up on enemies guarding slaves; frequently, if you openly attack them, the slaves will escape while you fight, but if you quietly ambush and brand the slavers, they're much more likely to stay put.

2) Stealth-brand the enemies near the slaves.

3) Keep track of how many slaves the slavers you branded were standing watch over; ideally, you want to only have them stand over 20-25 slaves - some people have reported that extremely large numbers of slaves might cause the achievement not to trigger.

4) Find a caragor and mount it.

5) Ride around and cause branded enemies' heads to explode; this has somewhat limited range, so you may need to do so multiple times.

6) Using your bow, headshot guards who are guarding other slaves to free them quickly without danger to your caragor.

Luigi Damn: It certainly didn't used to, as this was how I got the achievement. It is possible that they patched it; I haven't played the game in a long time.

When i stealth brand a slaver, it automaticelly free off the slaves. So your method doesn't work...

Crits: I'm not surprised, a number of folks have come up with the same method independently. There are (non-Steam) guides out there which suggest the same methodology - some variation on branding orcs, and then grabbing your caragor to ride around on and get the achievement while you use the branded orcs to your advantage.

I'm not sure if this is the way that they were intending to have people get the achievement, but it is certainly the easiest way of doing so. :fhappy:

I actually did almost the exact same thing (before I came across your posting)! I decided to go up to the Stronghold in Num, Shadow struck & Branded all the Archers 1st, then worked my way to a Caragor, branding as many Uruks I could before jumping onto my beast.
*The only difference in my technique: I commanded those guys to do my bidding rather than killing them. I chose to do that because not only do they free the slaves but they also turn around & fight the Non-branded Uruks that guard the slaves. Then I proceeded to ride around, killing any Uruks that tried to catch the escaping slaves. It made me SO upset that I spent so many hours failing before switching up my technique...especially since I earned the achievement on my very 1st try doing it my way!

I actually did do it how I said in the southeastern part of the 1st half of the mapjust knock the orcs over and slaves start running.
