A clean install of F4 and removing all other mods is recommended for Fallout London!

Once Fallout 4 is uninstalled as an extra precaution, nuke Fallout 4 from orbit by:
Deleting the Fallout 4 folder in: Documents\My games\
Deleting the Fallout 4 folder in: Users\*YourUserName*\AppData\Local\
This ensures Fallout 4 is completely cleaned from your computer.

Installation for the Next Gen downgrader:

1. Disable Steam Cloud from Steam > Settings > Cloud.

2. Download Fallout London Downgrader from here.[www.nexusmods.com]

3. Launch Fallout London Downgrader and then input the pathway to your F4 install folder.

4. Currently you gotta wait 30-60 minutes - This downloads the prior update and is chunkier than your elongated C***. No joke here. I recommend you work out during this time.

Note: Some folks have had cases with permanent "Downloading Depot [1/7]" error stuck screen during the Fallout London Downgrader install. On the Fallout London Discord, we were told that it is a Steam Authentication involved error with reverting the update. People experiencing this error have reported that temporarily disabling Steam Guard Authentication before the downgrade install helps get past this.
When the install is done, turn authentication back on!

You'll know the downgrading is working when the CMD is showing the files being downloaded.

5. Now to downloading the Mod! Get your cheeks ready for another load of fresh 30 GB.
Click here[www.gog.com] to add Fallout London to your GOG library.

Link provided above to the GOG download.

Add Fallout London to your GOG library and install the mod through the GOG launcher. It will ask for your F4 location. Simply input the folder path of your Steam Fallout 4 version and let it install.

6. Download F4 script extender 1.10.163[f4se.silverlock.org]. Do NOT download any other version than 1.10.163
Link for the Script Extender above. This step is important for the mod to function.

F4SE on Nexus won't work, since it only supports the next gen version.

Extract all the files from the F4SE 1.10.163 inside your Fallout 4 Steam folder.

Only launch the game through the Fallout 4 Script Extender!
I've had issues with not being able to level up due to not using the Script Extender. They didn't occur while using it.

Fallout London developers recommend Script Extender is used or more bugs might occur.

Only F4SE 1.10.163 works for this mod.

Be happy now. I will not act like a peasant whom begs for Steam points. I am superior.

User Genu mentioned an important note in the comments:

"If your Fallout 4 Steam version is installed with a language pack other than English - mod will not work. Install original F4 in English without other local languages.

If you have installed a language other than English and are trying to switch to the localized standard Fallout 4 files to game version 1.10.163 AFTER the installation of Fallout London, this has NO IMPACT on the Fallout London language ingame. Instead you might receive errors using non-english files."

Hello. I haven't played the game in a year but it sounds like you installed a different version of F4SE which is for the next gen version or a different build.

Build 0.6.23 is mandatory. I did try it with a newer build before and I remember having that error. The other ones won't work with this mod.

You are using a newer version of Fallout than this version of F4SE supports.
If this version just came out, please be patient while we update our code.
In the meantime, please check http://f4se.silverlock.org for updates.

What about steam cloud - it remains disabled until I unistall Fallout London? This part is missing in the guide.

Hello. Are you two using F4SE version; 0.6.23? I've got it linked on step 6 now. I made a mistake before, sorry.

Do NOT download F4SE from Nexus because its for the next gen update and won't support the mod.
I've tried them both. For me it only worked with F4SE 0.6.23

hello,
i have followed all steps but when i try to launch the game with the f4se_loader.exe, it starts Fallout 4 instead of Fallout London. I have also paid attention to install the game in english.
I don't know what i can do to make it work.
do you have any idea?

Hi. I have a unique issue with the installer. I used an Ubuntu OS called Pop OS and it seems that i'm using steam and run my games using Proton. I launched the installer via Wine emulator, but I can't seem to find the .local folder which eventually leads to the installation folder. It's supposed to be in my home folder, but it seems to be hidden. Is there a way around this? I'll understand if you don't use Linux.
