Ubisoft Connect Autologin
When you start Far Cry 3 on Steam, the triggered Ubisoft Connect Launcher keeps always asking to retype your credentials.

Here is how to make it 'remember' your Username and Password:

1. Open C:\Users\<your-Windows-username>\AppData\Local\Ubisoft Game Launcher\settings.yaml with a notepad

2. Under the sub-section 'masters', you can put in your Ubisoft Account Email (under Username) and password.

masters: password: " " username: " "

3. Save the file and make it 'read-only'.

Done.

[Disclaimer: Your Ubisoft Account username and password are not encrypted on your hard drive. This is a potential security risk.]
Ubisoft Connect Offline Mode
Since the new Ubisoft Connect Launcher was published the ability to launch games offline is no longer visible in the UI and hidden from the users. The functionality itself is still there.

You can launch games, when your PC is offline (not connected to the Internet). But, you can also launch the Launcher and the games, with a still active Internet connection, forcing the Launcher to start in offline mode.

1. Open C:\Users\<your-Windows-username>\AppData\Local\Ubisoft Game Launcher\settings.yaml with a notepad.

2. Change the status in the 'user' sub-section from "offline: false" to "offline: true"

user: ... offline: true ...

3. Save the file and make it 'read-only'

Done.

[Offline mode works with Far Cry 3 and Far Cry 4 and a bunch of older Ubi games, but not with more recent titles. Ubisoft wants to track you, no matter if you only play Single Player. They want to know when you play their games, for how long and show it in their business charts to their share holders and investors.]
