Volcanic Virtuoso Achievement Guide
By Noobus_571
This guide includes general knowledge before specific information, so you wont need to worry about location spoilers until you reach the spoiler warning. This guide also exposes the Plot Armor achievement, so if you want to discover it on your own, I recommend getting that achievement first.

General Information
This section will only narrow down where you are looking for the Phonographs, not lead you to them. I have created three tiers of specificity, narrowing down your search the more you reveal.

Firstly, all Phonographs are on the Surface level of the map
Secondly, the Phonographs are evenly spread across the map, with three in each area
Thirdly, Phonographs are all at locations marked on the map, with the exception of the one at the Plot Armor Shelter

This guide was made before the Island update, and is accurate as of August 2, 2024
Other Achievements
This guide covers most current achievements, you can find information on other achievements there

This guide details how to get the Make them dance! achievement, also made by me

Spoilers and Information
Spoilers

This guide includes information that will bring you to the Plot Armor Shelter. If you want to find the shelter on your own, do not continue past this point.

Information

The Phonographs are listed according to how easy it is to get them and how far into the game they are, with internal names also being included for anyone who needs them. Recommended Landing Sites are in order of proximity and accessibility to the locations. Track names are also included, taken from the Wiki.

Useful Tips

Get the Remote Control upgrade in your Drillship to unlock the arm bracer, which has a flashlight that makes Phonographs in dark areas much easier to see

If you cant find one of the Phonographs that is in grass, wait for an eruption to happen and then look for it, they stand out against the grey

Thank you. The new screenshot was extremely helpful.

I've updated that phonograph's section to make it (hopefully) easier to find. I also went into a new game to confirm this, but there are, in fact, 2 Old Refinery Village locations.

Could you screenshot that? I went to the one that matched the guide's screenshots. And I have de-fogged the map and found no second Old Refinery Village.

There are 2 Old Refinery Villages, this guide only references one of them, so you probably just went to the wrong one.

It would appear this guide is now inaccurate. The Old Refining Village is where you find the Funko Cog. The position of the crates in the basement has changed, and the phonograph is no longer there.

Images have been added, I would highly recommend getting the arm bracer upgrade to see the Phonographs better in the Blast Shelters and Mines

I plan on adding images to this guide, but I need to take screenshots with steam, as the game screenshots are too large to upload
