Where to Start

(i included adhd version for ppl who don't wanna read my yapping)

Alright so if you wanna get a good start on day 1 go straight to the bronx bay. It's the light area that you can see facing left of the cabin. Once you're at the bay you'll wanna head down to the Bronx Trap House (its on the left side of the bay entrance just find a hole and walk into it. You can find lots of minerals here but be warned there is an officer down here and he will arrest u if you get caught lacking. What I usually do to evade the cop is go to the left from the entrance. I don't think the bronx officer goes that way (he usually gate keeps the right side of the trap house.) you can collect as many minerals as you want but make sure you have enough to buy increase stamina (who doesn't want more stamina bro it takes 10 years to regen). once you leave the trap house make sure you get the bronx box on the other side of the bay. easiest 40 globs of my life.

it'll probably be almost night by the time you leave the bronx bay(unless ur speedrunning this game bro wth how do you make it to the bay and back to the cabin with like 100 minerals) so i recommend going straight to the bronx caves and solving the hardest puzzle in video game history literally make 3 of the 8 X's into O's lol once you enter the bronx pool rooms you'll be good from that layer and lower (no gang affiliates spawn) also u can do the whole puzzle down there and on lower layers to make use of night time. okay so its day 2 now you got a few options here like going back to the trap house and collecting minerals (also i forgot to mention if the officer is close to u theres like this loud footstep sfx that plays and if he sees you he starts screaming so if you hear that prepare to get startled and start running back the way you came from because dying takes half ur globs away and if you got stacks on you you'll be hit with the great depression pt 2.

i aint reading allat version: go to quarry collect mineral collect conx box also dont die because dying sucks when u stacked up

once youre done doing whatever youre doing during the day you can head back to the cabin and set up defense. i recommend for day 2 you put like 3 munchers down i think thats what theyre called (i legit just forgot their name mb) and also simple op strat you can do is just buy a halt and place it inside the cabin behind the door (you'll see any bronx affiliate trying to get in and you can shoot them with ur blicky if they show up in large numbers by pressing E. alr so its day 3 and you should get the "the stars are shifting" message. You now have access to one of the most broken units in the game: the flaming bush. bro trust me this single unit has hard carried me throughout the whole game. Make sure you get whatever upgrades u want on the pc because upgrades is better than no upgrades. Also getting the speed boots are kinda essential because the new towers costs went through inflation and now cost like 40 globs and you're gonna need to run around the whole forest collecting globs during the day if you wanna keep living in the bronx. ALSO MAKE SURE YOU DONT GET THE WHIP BECAUSE IT WILL LITERALLY LAG YOUR GAME OUT SO BAD ITS ALMOST UNPLAYABLE. Only get it if ur going for the achievement.

okay so ez home defense strat is to place flaming bushes near the corners of your house so in case any bronx member tries to sneak up from behind they gonna get flamed. make sure you jump and place your towers so you can counter floods if one happens. also burning spitters are nice to have theyre like muncher's older brother. holo shells are busted bro use them. place them on your flaming bushes and on the halt barricading your door because if the bronx affiliates start a heavy push you'll be good for the most part. keep watch of your power supply to because you and your pc literally become disabled without power (cough cough engineer class i didnt forget abt u)

Keep on doing the same thing collecting globs getting better defense until like day 5 maybe when you'll get the second "the stars are shifting" message. where you get access to new towers!! decimator is busted bro the dps literally says a lot. random events may happen during the day like flooding or the aliens showing up (theres already a guide on that stuffs) youll probably want to put glob collection on the max because decimators are of high demand!!!!

tldr: flaming bushes are op use them dont buy whip unless getting achievement use holo shells and flaming spitter too and collect as many globs as possible and collect minerals for upgrades.

so at this point youre chilling in your cabin protected by your op flaming bushes and stuff and its almost day 10 you get access to some more new towers at this point but most of them are utility (waste is actually nice for baiting monsters) just make sure you accompany it with like 2 flaming bushes

you know those pedestals you see at each corner of the bronx forest? with one easy payment of sacrificing the mercenary muncher, you can get junior!!! (hes cool) and you can light the pedestals. After all 4 are lit a strange crack in the ground will open up which contains a very mysterious file!!! (major spoilers up ahead)

collect the file and open it up in the data tab on the pc, you'll get a log from the engineer saying hes trapped bronx in this file and upon opening it, bronx shows up on your tower screen and you can summon him by clicking him. make sure you're ready to fight this dude because he will literally put you in a zoo exhibit if he captures you. try baiting him into some halts with holo shells on them so he gets stuck and has to eat up all the bullets from your units. once you hear the "I am weak" sfx try and get him unstuck and lead him to the sacrificial altar and he will get banished to the shadow realm!!!!


After this, metal will now spawn!! with metal you can build a machine which will take you out of the bronx!!! it takes 60 metal total so aim for that goal. once you get 60 metal you can fully build the machine and you'll escape the bronx!!! ...or have you really escaped bronx's wrath?
