Introduction

This mod aims to restore the content removed/changed from the latest "Definitive Edition" made in the Unity engine.
Mod Contents:

what does this mod do?

- Restores the Junior sprite from the flashback scene changed in the Definitive Edition.
- Restores the Salvation Rangers sfx changed in the Definitive Edition.
- Restores the original versions of the tracks "Work Harder" and "Work Smarter" changed in the Definitive Edition.

What doesn't this mod do?

- This mod doesn't change the music tracks in the new Music Player added in the Definitive Edition. The files for the music player are inside a different file.
- This mod doesn't change or add any new content that wasn't in the original RPG Maker version of the game.

Basically, the changes in this mod are only for the game itself, not the music player or menu.

Installation:
Mod Version 1.1 – Temporary Fix

This is mod version 1.1, released as a temporary fix. The latest stealth patch seems to have done nothing except break mod compatibility.

To install:

1. Navigate to your Painful Definitive Edition folder, usually found here:
"...\steamapps\common\LISA\LISA The Painful - Definitive Edition"

2. Make a backup of the "LISA The Painful Definitive Edition_Data" folder, then delete the original folder.

3. Replace it with the mod files (simply drag the folder into the same location).

⚠️ Note: Because of the way this temporary fix works, it may also be compatible with the Epic Games version, though this hasn’t been confirmed.

Enjoy!
Important
Like most Unity games, it is highly probable that the mod will stop working if the game gets officially updated or patched. If that occurs, an update for the mod will be needed. Let me know on the official Steam guide page if that happens.
FAQ
- Why did you make this mod?
Because I really like the original LISA game, and I've seen multiple people asking for different mods to restore content.

- Do you have an opinion about the changes made to the "Definitive Edition"?
I understand why the changes were made. I have no strong opinions about them; I just wanted the DE to be as close as possible to the original RPG Maker version.

- "I like the changed content from the Definitive Edition more than the original RPG Maker edition."
Awesome, you don't need to use this mod then.

- "Why only for 'The Painful' and not 'Joyful'?"
As far as I know, the Joyful Definitive Edition remains unchanged. If that's not the case, let me know.

- "The mod doesn't work despite following all the instructions."
The mod was tested by playing the game from start to finish. If the mod stops working, it is likely that the files were updated because of a new patch. If that's the case, I'd need to update the mod. Please let me know if that happens.
Ending
As I said before, this is a mod to restore the content from the original RPG Maker version and nothing else. If you have comments about other topics, please don't share them here as they will be deleted.

Feel free to let me know if the mod breaks or if the game gets updated.

Enjoy the mod.

yeah, the way the temporary patch works it should also work on the Epic version, I just couldn't test it because I don't own it

Nice! The mod seems to work now on the epic games version or atleast appears so; the game no longer crashes on startup and I can boot into it and play.

MOD UPDATED TO VERSION 1.1 - Working as a temporary fix because of an unannounced stealth update

Is there any files from the Epic games version that you need to take a look at to get an idea of the issue? I can send the whole game itself to you if needed.

yeah, but probably different versions or updates

dropping by to confirm that the mod doesn't work on epic games version on my machine too, strange since the game is in the same engine.
