Preface
All testing was done at 25 crafting, giving +1 armor to torso and limbs, +10 prestige and -7 stat reductions.

Armorsmith civil talent adds another +1 armor to torso and limbs and +3 prestige.

Crafting benefits stop scaling at 25 except added sale value.

Torn Padded Chainmail, Combined Armor,Scale Armor, Brigantine, Condottieri’s armor, Nobleman’s armor, Rusty Plate Armor, Plate Armor and Heavy Plate armor cannot be used in crafting.
General considerations
Only Mail Armor, Hauberk and Iron Cuirass allow you to craft pieces with 100% torso coverage for the blacksmithing quest in the poverty route post-Cambrai.

The single best craftable piece of chest armor seems to be the Mail Armor + Fauld combination for giving you almost perfect chest coverage with an extremely high armor value at the cost of a single endurance point.

Crafting armor for profit doesn't feel particularly appealing and the only viable use is to make the above mentioned chest piece in chapter 1 once you unlock enough points.

Civil Blacksmith Route
Here are some (maybe all) the blacksmith orders you get on the civil route.

Armor with a weak spot: Armor cover between 90 and 100, armor not lower than 12. The list above has plenty of candidates for this one. The cheapest solution is gambeson + low quality mail if you picked the armorsmith talent or have high enough craftsmanship.

Combat armor: Armor not less than 15, cover not less than 100, limb armor not lower than 9, limb coverage not lower than 55.

The only armor combination that solves this one is Gambeson + Mail Armor or Hauberk, due to limb coverage missing from other base armor pieces.

Lightened armor: Prestige not lower than 20, stat debuffs no higher than 3 (cumulative)

This one is easily solvable, i did not add a prestige tab on my table, but anything better than gambeson + mail armor should work just fine. Mail and gambeson is probably the cheapest way to solve this particular one as both pieces are common and cheap.

Lightened helmet: Head cover not lower than 80, stats debuff no higher than 1.

Sallet + aventail are both easily rerollable in the the trade screen, easy to solve.

Decorated armor: Prestige not lower than 31.

Pretty much any full cuirass or high tier padded chainmail will do if you have high craftsmanship. (Which you should if you're going for this ending in particular)

Decorated helmet: Prestige not lower than 20.

Pretty much any mid tier combined helmet will do for this one.

Weighted armor: Stats debuffs not lower than 7.

At 25+ craftsmanship there is only a single option that fits this bill: Hauberk + Iron Cuirass. If you have very low craftsmanship this is the easiest of the bunch to do, but you should not be attempting this ending with low craftsmanship to begin with.

Full cover helmet: cover not lower than 100, armor not lower than 16

This might be the hardest to fulfill, because your odds of getting a high tier base helmet early in the game are bad. You will need an aventail for 3 of the solutions, a visor for the other and some pretty good helmets. I wish you luck.

Italian Bascinet + Visor

Barbute Helmet + Aventail

Sallet Bevor and Visor + Aventail

Bascinet and visor + Aventail

The requests seem to be fixed but the order they show up in is randomized, so if you roll Full Cover Helmet and Weighted Armor on week 1 you might fail to fulfill them if your RNG is bad, especially the helmet one, as the weighted armor can be completed by sacrificing 1 slot in your chest and inventory for a spare iron cuirass during character creation.

If you intend on deliberately finishing a civil blacksmith run I highly recommend starting with a spare Iron Cuirass to bring along as I've rarely come across any in the early game either as drops or showing up in shops. As for the helmets, your best shot at acquiring them is probably the french knights if you trigger the battle route, or otherwise maxing your prestige via equipment and using a four leaf clover to maximize your odds of getting extra options at the shop.

Please let me know if any craftable chest piece combination has been missed. I added every single piece of armor i could find in the script py file so i should not have missed any, but you never know.
