Things you're going to need for this guide
you will need DS4 windows.
that's all you need


now on to how to disable the annoying light.
Once you have DS4 windows installed and you have gone through the 1st initialization
you will see the screen



there should be a start button at the bottom right once you click start your controller should pop up.
Once you see your controller pop up hit the edit button and then you'll see this menu



once you're in this menu go to light bar click on the Blue Square mine is black in this because I've already changed.



once you have clicked on it you will get a color palette you can change the color to anything you want or dim it.
But for this guide we want to put it to black so you don't see that annoying light or dim it if you wanna just dim the light.
for this guide it should look like this to get the result you want



once you're all done with that there will be a button at the top next to profile you wanna save the changes. once you click that save button it will close automatically back to where you were



now go to settings in in settings there should be a check box called hide DS4 controller
check that box. If I remember correctly it'll prompt a restart/ download the necessary things to hide the PS4 controller



and now before you open DD2. close steam and make sure you close and reopen DS4 windows before relaunching steam. We want to do this so steam doesn't know you have a controller it thinks you have an Xbox controller And yes sadly you will not have PS4 buttons. But it beats having that glowing light on your screen.

Side note 1
if you put your pc to sleep you will have to repeat the process you did to do it in the 1st place. So that means closing steam and closing DS for Windows reopening DS for Windows and then reopen steam launch DD 2 and you're good to go

Side note 2
when you wake the computer up from sleep you will have to sometimes uncheck and recheck the hide DS4 controller ( make sure steam is closed when you do that) if the light bar turns white when you start the game

Side note 3
I think if epic games open the light will still activate for some reason if you have epic games launcher on your PC and running at the current time when you launch DD 2. Make sure you fully close epic game just in case if the light keeps coming on.

it's not a perfect solution it is finicky sometimes.
