the problem is rather how the NPCs act. oh i have 2 free slots for sticks in the warehouse i just cut down a tree. while the other one is just on his way to fill the one slot with bark. since my firewood is usually full, they leave the wood lying around and also like to waste birch trees that they cut up just to get sticks, firewood or the like. it's even worse when you demolish a longhouse that the woodcutters can cut up the beams and planks lying around.
