How Rich is Boss Di Angelo?
By Sir Callahan
Its difficult to work out just how much money Di Angelo would make in a year, I decided to base his income off the Rent received from Residential properties, as that is the only thing in game I can actually find a real life reference for its value (Speakeasies/Counterfeiters etc did not keep accurate books due to being illegal and such so its hard to know how much one could reasonably make on average)

Real life rent of an apartment in 1920 $12-15 a month, $144 - $180 a year.

Rent of an apartment in 1920 Atlantic City in the Omerta Video game is listed : $80 per a day, I have decided to consider this as the rent every 6 months, making it $160 a year which is closer to the average I could find for the 1920s

As an example Al Capone was brought down by the IRS as he didnt pay his taxes, since Di Angelo wins the game and retires as a legitimate businessman with a private island I am only counting the Clean $$ money he makes in each district. So most Joints are Pawn Shops, Supported by Nightclubs, Distilleries, Breweries with Weapon shops to sell the guns from the Pawn shops, and Accountants to clean the money.

Warehouses and Crime Lords
All Independent Businesses on the map can be easily taken over with Drive By's, bought out with Warm Relations or sometimes put out of business by Raiding them. Drive By's are by far the quickest ways.

Warehouses however can only be taken over if you first buy something from them, thus giving you Warm Relations and then getting Heat over 5 Stars so that an Investigation starts - then click on Investigation and you will have the option to Hand over the Warehouse with Warm Relations to the Police, this will reset Heat to 0 and turn the Warehouse into a Premises you can buy.

To Get a Crime Lord to Warm Relations, first give them an appeasement gift if they are at Cold Relations, then do a Wet works Job. Send just one gangster on the mission and make sure to Fail the job so the Gangster gets arrested. This will open up a new special Job in the Jobs Panel where you have to break that gangster out of Prison. Do this job and this will increase the Crime Lord Rating to Warm.

Then Get police Heat over 5 Stars so that it starts and investigation, Click on investigation and you will see the Option to hand over the Crime Lord to the Police, this will reset heat to 0 and turn the Crime Lord into a Joint you can buy.

Make sure to buy the weapon from the Crime Lord first if its one you're interested in.

Ponzi Scam is not worth it, it takes way too long to generate money and then you can only use it once, and it lowers your liked rating considerably each time you use it, which lowers many other Joints and Business income.

Money by District
These entries include every joint, premise, construction and Residential building in a district.

To work out how much money these districts could realistically make in a year, I took the Residential property Income, $80 and based on the average apartment rent of the time being around $150 dollars a year - I will consider Atlantic city Apartments to rent out at $80 every 6 months or $160 a year.

So the values here are to be considered to be collected every 6 months.
Maine Avenue - $15,300
Abescone Lighthouse - $14,178
Baltic Ave - $27,848
Northside - $17,682
Gardner Basin - $13,623
Virginia Ave - $20,711
Garden Pier - $28,710
Kentucky Ave - $24,563
Connecticut Ave - $16,037
Industrial District - $18,946
The Suburbs - $24,336
Georgia Ave - $23,201
Iowa Ave - $16,874
Illinois Ave - $22,694
North Carolina Ave - $21,715
Downtown - $25,416
Mediteranian Ave - $24,510
Boardwalk Hall - $22,016
Michigan Ave - $19,954

Japanese Incentive
Ventor Heights - $23,234
Huron Ave - $29,049
Absecon Blvd - $27,184
Ventor Ave - $32,200
Bacharach Blvd - $35,505
Arkansas Ave- $23,033
Ducktown - $25,155
Albany Ave - $22,583
Margate - $21,576
Vermont Ave - $30,118
Ohio Ave - $25,886
Pacific Ave - $31,950

Total
$704,542 every 6 months or $1,409,084 per a year
Comparing Di Angelo to Al Capone
Al Capone, New York City 1920 (population 9 million) reported to make $85 million a year
(9 dollars per a person)

Boss DiAngelo, Atlantic City 1920 (population 66,000) reported to make $1,409,084 a year
(21 dollars per a person)

Adjusted for Inflation for the year 2025 that is about $22,531,182 a year

By this metric alone, and the fact that Di Angelo retires to his own private island and evades prison time we can safely say he was the better gangster.
