How to Kill the Ratling Boss in One Hit

The Ratling boss can be a real pain with all the rats and the massive damage the boss himself does any time you're in his vision, but there is a way to kill him with one hit if you're fast.

Once the door closes behind you, enter the room, and turn right and run forward as fast as you can into the tile to the right, which has a key.
Run back to the door that closed behind you, and open it with the key, then go back into the sewer area.
Turn Right and go to the ladder and climb it.
Wait for the Ratling Boss to come right under you at the bottom of the ladder.
Fall down onto him, killing him instantly, giving you his weapon, achievement, and the ability to clear out his room for a lot of goodies easier!

Warning: Doing this gives you NO xp from the boss!

I accidentally killed his "twin brother" when I stepped out of the wingate portal to the Beach area (from the Hub)... he was there, with an ogre, a bunch of "Ratling-combo-Wolf" teams.. (yeah they teamed up!) and of course the trixter.

Killed him right off and all the others came at me... had to find a cubby hole and kill them all in single file line.. LOL

Using the rats to act as a shield between you and the boss works well. Youll meet his brother outside the crystal mines. easy in the open.

or if you have two tanks on your front line you can do what i do, run in and hit the boss with a preset force field, get aggro on all his small guys and back yourself into a corner, the boss wont shoot through his own rats, kill off all his rats by never killing the rats between the boss and you, when you kill the last rat and the boss steps up you should have the boss up and one rat left, force field the boss again and quickly kill the last guy, using the pillar in the room begin to kite the boss around it and use your alchemist and mage to range dps him as he comes around the pillar, dodging every time he comes around you can kite him easily and hes a fairly easy fight this way

You can also, alternatively, load up on freeze grendades and then wait at the entrance for him. Freeze then keep attacking is an easy kill. The boss actually only has about half of the health bar displayed.

intersting. useful to note the boss does a battle cry at the start effectivly doing nothing the first few seconds, I used this time to run up and force feild him so I could take out the other rats. This would help with your stratagy also perhaps, but you don't need it.
