Basic concepts:
Disclaimer, in case you dont have enough iq to understand this guide can use also the https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3307424323 that is more detailed and better explained.

The art of ganking its a good way to level up via PvP, enjoy the game, spend time with friends and also punish invaders but first of all you need to know:

  • What is it?
  • Prepare a place to hunt invaders

  • Its fair?
  • They get ready to kill the host so its fair to you to get ready to kill invaders

  • What do I need to start?
  • This guide was made to people who understands the basic concepts of the game so of course you need the online tools like the "Furlcalling Finger Remedy" to activate online, "Tarnished's Furled Finger" to let your sign down and be able to be summoned to another world, a boss alive in the zone, also can use the "White Cipher Ring" to request help from another players to kill the invader.
I recommend you to do this in a low level zone bc you dont acctually want the invader has help from any random enemy so please dont try this in NG+7 near to high lvl enemies bc you will get fked.

  • What can I find doing this?
  • That the mind of a invader is weak and probably will make hate speech in your profile if it is public like mine, loyal friends and a lot of runes, some hackers so have a back up just in case, also occasionally a nice invader who joins the hunt or just wanna gift runes.
Best Ganking Zones
Well im going to share you some of the best zones to gank and how to set up the place to make it the most comfortable to you find and erradicate the outsider

Raya Lucaria Ganking Zone

  • What you need:
  • Obviously the key to access this place
  • The main door after the lifter closed (optional but highly recommend)
  • Red dog of Radagon alive (mandatory)

  • What to do?
  • First of all the only bonfire that matters it's the "Main Academy Gate", from this place you have to kill every single enemy near like the wolfs going down, the bloodhound and the two wizards guarding the main door that I suppose is still closed, after it you can summon friends and active the "Taunter's" tongue and start the fun.
  • Notice that you can't send back the invader like other places so you have to kill them

  • Pros:
  • They can't hide from you
  • You can easily chase them
  • Pretty fast to reach this place from a new game

  • Cons:
  • If they have chainsaw or something else you are trapped with them
  • can't kick players without killing
  • if it's a new game you will lose a memory stone and can't reach Rennala so no respec

    Radahn's Beach

  • What you need:
  • Activate the Radahn's Festival (Reach Altus Plateau and sit on a bonfire)
  • Stay in the zone just before enter the Radahn's boss fight

  • What to do?
  • Nothing to do here, the zone its pretty clean and only player can spawn here

  • Pros:
  • They can't hide from you
  • You can easily chase them
  • Pretty fast to reach this place from a new game

  • Cons:
  • If they have chainsaw or something else you are trapped with them
  • can't kick players without killing they
  • Until defeat this boss you cant go to the DLC

    The First Step Ganking Zone

  • What you need:
  • Start the game

  • What to do?
  • Probably kill the Tree Sentinel would be a good idea
  • The dragon in NG its useful to bait invaders so can leave it alive, you will get pretty low damage and it can hit invaders too

  • Pros:
  • Pretty fast to reach this place from a new game
  • You can kick invaders by going to Margit even if the boss is dead, just enter the boss fight and invaders will be send back home.

  • Cons:
  • Invaders can run away easily and hide from you
  • In NG+ the enemies can be more annoying than the invader

    Queen Chamber

  • What you need:
  • Beat almost all the game (Atleast Sir Gideon Ofnir)
  • Have done the Nepheli Loux questline to summon her

  • What to do?
  • After beat Sir Gideon you can reach the Godfrey boss fight, well this place its pretty peaceful for your intentions so can use Nepheli like a shield and gank with an NPC

  • Pros:
  • Pretty peaceful place
  • Can summon an NPC with a lot of HP
  • Can enter the boss fight to kick the invasor

  • Cons:
  • If they have chainsaw or something else you are trapped with them
  • They can run away and hide from you
  • Only reachable at the end of the game, also can use the Morgot version but will have more enemies and places to hide

    Night's Sacred Ground

  • What you need:
  • Reach the Siofra Well

  • What to do?
  • Go all down the road until you reach this area, lit the bonfire and thats it

  • Pros:
  • Pretty peaceful place, only some silver tears that can be easily killed before turn into human
  • Can use the teleport to go outside the area and kick the invasor

  • Cons:
  • There are no issues with this place, its perfect

Best Ganking Zones (DLC)
Now for the players with the DLC I will show you some good places to gank, probably will add more in a future

First Step 2.0 (Gravesite Plain)

  • What you need:
  • Reach the DLC
  • Kill the boss in the mausoleum next to the bonfire (its the first bonfire of the DLC)

  • What to do?
  • I recommend you to burn every single "Scadutree Fragment" to avoid the PvE enemies to kill you (does'nt affect pvp)
  • kill the birds and worns next to rice fields where you are going to fight
  • Kill the Furnace Golem (The Fire Colossus in the DLC)

  • Pros:
  • Now with the DLC its full of pvp
  • Can kick the invaders by going to the mausoleum

  • Cons:
  • Invaders can easily hide or run
  • Many hard enemies close

    Pre Consort Radahn boss fight

  • What you need:
  • Beat almost all the DLC

  • What to do?
  • After reach this place you will get a nice stairs where can gank invaders without cleaning the area first

  • Pros:
  • They can't hide from you
  • You can easily chase them
  • Can kick the invaders just by enter the boss fight

  • Cons:
  • If they have chainsaw or something else you are trapped with them
  • Hard to reach
Chainsaw (Patched)
The most toxic thing someone can use in PvP:

What is it?

Chainsaw its a glitch performed with a script runned in a third party app, usually AutoHotkey, this glitch grants you the power to use the "serpent Hunter" ash of war every game tick outside the Rykard fight and as you can imagine its a devastating weapon that some """""PvP streamers""""" like Donut, Restless, TimeOf, among others, are proud to use due skill issue to kill the host but dont worry, im going to show you how to counter it

Not as tough as you think
Usually people belives they get hyperarmor or something like that but actually they are pretty vulnerable meanwhile "cast" the Chainsaw and some spells like the "Stone of Gurranq", Any Haima magic, any gravity spell, great arrows (that can be shoot from a short bow by equip an light arrow in the first slot and a heavy in the second, jump and spam the heavy arrow buttom and its patched too)

also if you are chasing they probably cant do the glitch properly due it requieres to make some steps in order and a perfect frame time that its hard to get when you are beaten by others, so if you see someone running with a flail or with a pizza cutter they are probably chainsawers

Tactics
Divide and conquer:

First of all you need to understand the difference between a gank and a duel, a gank is when you and your friends are waiting for an invader to destroy it, a duel its a fair 1v1 that usually happens in the colusseum or by duelist finger.
When you gank you have the advantage due know what enemies still alive and the NG number, also has more damage due have more people, remember that Taunter's tongue increase the maximun invader number to 2 so you can get a 2v2 and as a team you and your friend should have a synergy and try to complement each other so now im going to show you items that should have:

Spells:

Erdtree Heal: (both)
Any kind of instantly healing its necessary, both of you should have it to save each other in case has low health

Comet: (Optional)
A cheap way to make tons of damage pretty fast

Collapsing stars: (Highly recomend)
A way to keep pressure in the invader and hook it near to you

Carian Slicer: (Optional)
Highly recommended against any parry man and armor weak against magic

Any Haima magic: (Optional but recommended)
Interrupts everything letting you a chance to disable the Chainsaw

Law of Regression: (At least one)
This incantation remove any status effect from allies and enemies at the same cast so can use it to remove any buff used by the invader but also any poison/scarlet rot/frenzie/bleed/sleep or dead buildup

Wrath of gold or rejection: (up to you)
Useful to kick players from the edje of a cliff to kill them

Fire Serpent: (optional)
Hard to dodge and makes pressure in combat

Furius Blade of Ansbach: (optional)
Helps with the bleed buildup

Eternal darkness: (At least one)
Neutralize the majority of magics

Consumables

Fan daggers: (both)
Pretty useful to break any bubble or finish an low health enemie that is running away

Frezzing/Sleep pots: (both)
Grants you the hability to inflict 2 of the most annoying effects

Uplifting Aromatic: (both)
Makes you invulnerable the first hit

Deny Flasks
You can also use the Finger Severer to kick out phantoms like the blue hunters or even your own friends that are near to die to prevents the invader to get any flask for their dead.

Stop the fun
I thought it was obvious, but in recent comments I've noticed a lot of people complaining because I didn't explain this, so let's do it. You can disable the Taunter's Tongue as soon as an invader lands or even before if you are checking the recent players list (Shift+Tab) to prevent it from having another friend or in case you noticed it's one of those annoying ones, it's up to you, but I usually don't disable it.

Time to sleep

The St. Trina arrows and bolts are pretty useful tools to sleep the opponent and apply euthanasia, there are 2 good options besides the jars

Bone Bow:
Use the DLC weapon ash of war Rancor shot to make the arrow more likely to hit and inflict the status effect Sleep

Shotgun:
The Spread Crossbow shots 10 bolt at time so use it in close distance will almost always sleep the opponent

Whenever the last comment was posted, I'd had to contradict the reason of being of this "guide". You don't need it ! The invaders are not as strong as Steelovsky or Chase the Bro!

3 years ago, I started with Dark Souls 3 and feared invaders because I thought they were strong. One day by playing with 2 players summoned in Elden Ring, I got invaded. He destroyed them, and I ran away. But I finally took my responsibilities and faced him. I decided I'll not fear him anymore and I'll fight him, no matter the outcome. It was hard, I received some hits, I retaliated. I finally beat him. I changed my mind to overcome this situation and it’s my better experience.

Regardless of your skills, stop fearing invaders.
Whenever you are invaded, just fight back until you win or lose. You'll be better after each encounter. Resilience is the key to overcome any situation in this game, and it's the message of Elden Ring.

No need to spread hate upon invaders or gank squads :er_uwu:

Eden also pretends to put on this robinhood act by giving to the poor PVE casuals, which I highly doubt considering everybody in invasions that isnt actively seeking a fight with taunters tounge is just someone playing the game and have fun with their friends. The fun you proceed to annihilate with your metaslave, hyperoptimized, minmax anti personnel builds. Think about that would you.

And if you're invading for the sole purpose of honorable duels with other people looking for PVP, just go play Dark souls 3 at pontiff bonfire, or in elden arena duels.
Coansp 27 Oct, 2024 @ 6:40pm
Eden is scared to 1v1 people at metalevel 125 so he has to make a bunch of imaginary rules and guidelines to turn the battle heavily in his favor. Thats like telling someone not to use their main in a fighting game, a handicap if you will.

Why are you complaining about an unfair advantage in a game series about the odds being stacked up against you?
Gank fights are a core component to a souls game. Something tells me you struggled with Ornstien and smough, or godskin duo, meaning you didn't learn the methods of taking on more enemy than once (and you didnt read the countless "luring out one by one required ahead" messages)
Eden 27 Oct, 2024 @ 6:36pm
When I invade people who don't know what they're doing, I give them runes and leave. I often lead people to stuff. Some of my favorite invasions are helping people do the Lyndell skip. My name is "I can be bribed" and I leave if they give me anything, even a mushroom. I'm fully optional. And then I run into people like you, just having fun killing people in these unwinnable situations, which is fine, but don't pretend you have more skill than me, and don't pretend it's fair. You are being a shitter. Don't also be dishonest about it.
Lute  [author] 27 Oct, 2024 @ 5:51pm
Aaaaaaaaalright, also we can try it lvl 1 fist only no armor no talisman no estus no keyboard and no power in the pc, dude i never sumon duelist bc i understand they want a duel, im not looking for a duel, im looking to abuse the ones who want to bully other players, thats all and you, as invader, know that can invade a easy under level host that doesnt even know how to manage stamina or can face 3 gankers waiting for they new victim, you accept the terms as soon as you try to invade so dont come to cry bc you know exactly what are you doing and what you can get
Eden 27 Oct, 2024 @ 5:40pm
I'm sure you bathe in the hate. If you're better than me, prove it. 1v1, level 40 or less, no bows/crossbows/consumable projectiles, duel arena, best 3/5, if you want a mirror match I'll use whatever you want.

Coansp, I doubt you'll read this, but invaders do not get mad against more than 1 person. Invasions are HEAVILY stacked against invaders to begin with, but gankers try to create essentially unwinnable situations for invaders. That isn't even a game anymore, it's just self-masturbatory ego stroking. The reality of Elden Ring being an unbalanced pvp game is plenty evident, don't worry, but this guy is literally just breaking that parity as much as possible, and literally claims it's fair. Like...lick my ass on that one. I understand people getting salty and trying to counter invaders for a playthrough, but to then make a hobby out of it? To get so into ganking you write an entire guide? Bruh. Serious incontinent energy.
