very basic lore

the lore is that the red team was the first empire and expanded a lot and collapsed a little then the red team got wrecked by the British and most of the African colonies were ceded to countries in the entente aft WW1 and the red team and Germany had a civil war and the nationalists won and that's when you do what ever you what next
