Launch options under properties copy paste the current resolution of your 4:3 monitor/tv with this command:
-screen-height /2048/ -screen-width /1536/
(replace number values with the resolution you're currently using)

Hopefully this guide lessens people from refunding this game because developers got lazy with this port.
