I see that there are some friction here to your base suggestion, I'll take it to heard and go try it out
I had spawn developed to what i thought was an appropriate amount and i thought i was ready for progression. nope. wasn't ready. that floating three eye'd tentacle freak pretty much keeps halting my progress. I was certainly NOT ready. I needed to fill my backpack with so many more grinder blades to try and push even harder forward and get the material blueprints for the x-ray turrets. got stalled at home and hentai'd on repeat trying to resupply and cook more soups for a prolonged outing without them.
The home outside of home becomes a requirements with the hydroplant
I don't see why spawn is such a terrible base. its got access to everything if you dont mind a light amount of hoofing it. I once you start getting the layout of the facility memorized by traveling it becomes thoughtless to find whatever you need. though i may relocate my base to somewhere closer to later stage resources for simple convenience. but i haven't found a suitable spot that peaks my builders joy sense yet.
