Rookie: Eager To Impress GTS Perk

Rookies suck and I wanted to give them a very small non-balance breaking buff that doesn't stick around once they rank up. To that effect, I cooked up a cheap GTS Perk called "Eager to Impress" that upgrades their missed shots to grazes some of the time (set in the config) and only applies to Rookies.

I'm not the first person to do this, but I wanted a simple tiny boost that is isolated to the very early game rookie and I couldn't find one.

Very nice. I've been hoping for sometthing similar to this for awhile now as well that gives my early game rookies a boost without giving me any mid to late game boost. This is great for the first couple of months.

That is correct. But this perk only applies to rookies so the modified success chance reverts to the base game's when a soldier is promoted.

Hello @AgRipnus, could you tell me, the SUCCESS_CHANCE = in this mod, is this your own personal percentage edit to the chance of a graze? Or is it the ability to edit the base game's own graze calculation?

Put simply, if I change to this SUCCESS_CHANCE = 75, does that mean a 3 in 4 chance of converting a miss to a graze?

Adding this to gatecrasher, would have the same effect as simply editing the .ini to add something like 20 Offense to the rookie class template. I personally wanted it to be unlockable so it doesn't feel like complete cheating.

Is there a way to add this to gatecrasher? I'd love it if this could be enabled at the start. There's no real strategy to missing a ton when you're stuck with 3 rookies...
