Welcome!
Hey there! This is a (somewhat) short and sweet guide that will hopefully allow you to get 'god' runs going in the game!

For example, here's a run I had which I chose to end after getting tired:
Pre-Run
Be sure to have a lot of time on your hands. Due to the current pacing, each wave takes a little over a minute. This goes to ~2 minutes for 5-increment boss waves (Cthulhu), and ~3-4 minutes for 11 increment boss waves (Gromsch).

Azaus or Hanba are your best bets for character choices. I prefer Azaus, but Hanba is a more consistent/safe option, especially for boss waves.

Be sure to have max blessings. Alternatively, if you are trying to go far in order to get horns to gain blessings, upgrade them in this order:
1. Triple Tap
2. Rapid Strikes
3. Bloodbath
4. Infernal Pace
5. Quickstep
6. Bloodlust
7/8. The remaining two don't matter for order

While it may seem helpful to spawn in Bone Church (since it's easily the best map to camp on), it's actually better to start a run as normal in Cemetery Gates. This is because killing Alkarion gives a very nice amount of blood points that you'll want, and because of the easy (and cheap) access to Crimson Death.
Cemetery Gates
Not much to do here, since you're just here for Alkarion and the Crimson Death. As such, here's an easy 3-step guide to the entire area:

1. Buy Crimson Death.

2. Kill Alkarion (big demon) ASAP.

3. After killing Alkarion, get into Bone Church ASAP.
Bone Church
Here we go, the meat of the run! This is where almost the entire run will take place, so get comfortable.

First things first, buy the RTX Gun and charge all the nodes on the map; then, roll for Turquoise from the Duck's shop.

Important Note: Once you have the RTX Gun and Turquoise, Crimson Death should become exclusively a support weapon used for getting enemies and bosses away from you.

Afterwards, sit in the large room directly above the portal room (pictured below), in between the Mushroom Rune and the node above it. It's best to have the Mushroom Rune just barely off-screen so that your bullets don't hit it.

Congratulations, you have more or less 'won' the run! All that's left is actually buying Runes and/or upgrading guns, here's the order I would follow:

1. Upgrade guns (Turquoise, RTX, Crimson Death, in that order)
2. Upgrade Extra Bullets until Turquoise can shoot in a full circle without you needing to move the mouse.
3. Buy Extra Damage until you have roughly 20 levels.
4. Dump points into Extended Mag until you have 100 levels (no, I'm not kidding).
5. Buy enough Mushrooms until you have a 'full' hp bar (2 full rows).
6. The rest of your points should go into damage unless you notice that your Turquoise starts to run low on ammo in the 4 waves between Cthulhu fights (in which buy Extended Mag) or if you lose any hp (in which buy Mushrooms).

As for the Cthulhu/Gromsch fights themselves, they're relatively simple, but Gromsch will begin to gain tons of health. As such:

- Use ONLY Turquoise on Cthulhu waves. Once they start to spawn, hold down the fire button until they are *all* dead. If one of them uses the ring attack that traps you inside of a small area, use Crimson Death to send them flying and free yourself.

- Gromsch waves are a bit more complicated because you can't really burst them down unless you have 5x gun damage. As such, use Turquoise and run around the map until the normal wave enemies are dead or almost dead. Then, use the RTX gun to finish off the remaining Gromschs (Gromschi?). If you have 5x gun damage, full focus the Gromschs with RTX gun, and use Turquoise if any normal enemies get too close.

noticed that this is outdated, but I just started playing...was wondering if it's still good enough to get some decent runs while still learning the ropes and trying to decide what to spend point/resources on?

I'd like to let everyone know that 101 is the current record for the game
