Yeah i found later there's a charge jump i can unlock. Still very stupid that after hearing "don't worry you can fall off" during the tutorial, and then you fall off, you get blocked on the tutorial quest for ~an hour

You will have the ability to go back later if you desire to. You should be able to continue from where you are
