so you probably want to 100% yakuza kiwami 2 (perhaps other yakuza games in the future, but let's be real yakuza 6 and kiwami 2 are the easiest ones) and came across this funny game called mahjong, right? if you want to win, you need to be patient for a while - when i was learning the game i've seen people not willing to learn it because it's "too hard" when the game it's not that complicated, technically.

if you read other guides on the internet, where there's a ♥♥♥♥ ton of explaining then be reassured - don't expect anything like that here as I will be getting straight to my point

Don't bother learning any complicated hands and all of those methods because you don't have to know that - just focus on getting the same "style" looking tiles and combine them in the number order (1,2,3) or gather identical ones by following two hands i'm about to show
What I mean exactly is:

1. go to any mahjong in osaka or kamurocho
2. start the game
3. each game focus on getting hands like on the examples presented here:
-4 triplet/sequence tiles
- 1 pair
or
7 pairs

4. Each round press X or Square (whether you're playing on a xbox or playstation controller) to see if Riichi comes up in the right down corner - it basically will make the game play for you automatically and if you're lucky enough you will get Tsumo or Ron.
5. DON'T STEAL! if you have any chi/pon/kan etc. just press B or O on your controller and ignore it - stealing been useless to me and I don't recommend it unless you really know what you're doing.

Disclaimer: you will lose, A LOT. You can win games more easily once you get to remember those two hands, however you will lose to bots because they're just too good sometimes. So don't expect this to be a "HOW TO WIN ALL MAHJONG GAMES IN JUST 15 MINUTES!!!" - the only "cheat way" is by using cheat engine

the game is not complicated as people described it in some topics i've read through when I was learning during my first walkthrough of Yakuza games. As I said it bases mostly on your luck - I lost countless times because bots are just tough to play against sometimes. A good advice from a total idiot like me is don't play it when you're tired because you will most likely lose get annoyed or just be dumb with it and lose easy games. Usually I played couple games of mahjong while watching a show on my 2nd screen and then moved on to do story/substories or other activities and I wasn't really rushing the completion of it - it's good not to try do this at once because you will burn out quickly

For some reason I had a lot of luck with 7 pairs in Yakuza 6 unlike here where most of the time I just went with the 4 triplet and 1 pair hands but dear gamer just wait till you discover puyo puyo in yakuza 6 lmao
