Hey everyone!
We just released PirateSpark, a calculator for OddSpark.
We made it as a hobby project, so it's completely free with no ads.
It's still a work-in-progress, and we're constantly bringing updates!
Please check it out and let us know what you think!

Great tool! I second the request for botany and metal sparks!

@Prometheus0000 - This is almost 1 year in the future so I don't know if it came in a subsequent update, but the calculator lets you choose between alternative recipes. Hover mouse over icon of the item (eg, bark) and a window will pop up letting you choose between the alternative recipes. It's not super obvious, so easy to miss.

This is really awesome, I was wondering if you were planning on updating it to include the metal sparks and botany stuff though

Looks cool. I use a spreadsheet for this (like I do for most factory games) but sadly these don't (usually) get to 100% accuracy, due to all the problems inherit with not having belts, not being able to create a manifold without "crossing" paths, etc.

Thanks for the effort! It makes the game a lot more accessible and fun!

It doesn't look like you've set it up to be able to use alternate recipes. For example, you get double the bark from producing logs, and then running it through the sawmill to get bark, rather than producing bark directly from a tree.

It'd also be useful to be able to choose how many/minute of something you want instead of having to guess at the number of workstations you'd need.

There's an error in calculations involving the Miasma Collector. Miasma generates at a rate of 1 unit every 4 seconds. as a result the Miasma Collector is rate limited. It will produce at the same speed with 2 stumpies as with 2 crafties since the limiting factor is the miasma availability. As a result its output should be lower than it nominally would be (and the calculator displays it in this higher form).

thank you for the comment

we checked it in game and found that crafty spark has a multiplier of 1.5 than stumpy spark

we has adjusted our calculator
and now you can see 11.25 item/minute in saw bench making sawn timber with 2 crafty sparks

or meaby i am just doing something wrong ? :D
Soulfly 17 Aug, 2024 @ 2:40am
i think there is something wrong when you use Crafty sparks the nummbers dont add up i think ?

lets take 1 Sawbench makeing Timber.

the cal shows that i am getting 15 Item/min, but in game i am only getting 11.3 using 2x crafty sparks in the Saw.

i think the number from the normale sparks to crafty is double, on the site, but its not in the game.

hope this makes sense, sorry my english.
