Step 1
If you are a newbie don't jump floors when playing tower or just don't play tower at all, play in the open-park or player lobbies if you struggle with the tower.

DON'T GET ANXIOUS IF YOU DROP FLOORS

Just try not to think about ranking in general, it doesn't really matter, if you take your time to learn the game you'll eventually get good :)

If you are a decent player just play open-park if you cant deal with the celestial challenge and the people who gate keep it.

Step 2
Learn only ONE character if you struggle to remember inputs

You'll have more fun with a character that you know how to play rather than a high damage character you don't know ♥♥♥♥ about.... or just play sol, you will win most of the time, unless your opponent has more than 2 braincells but i doubt it.

Step 3
Avoid bad matchups or characters that are a pain in the ass to fight

First try playing against different characters and avoid playing against the ones you dislike

Avoid zoners like Axl, Bridget, extremely powerful characters like Sol, Nago or Potemkin and Asukas with more than 2 braincells also avoid Ky players they are sewage rats disguised as shotos.

If you like playing against them go ahead, I just gave some examples of annoying matchups.
Step 4
Learn how to block

Learn how to punish your opponent when they whiff

Learn basic combos dont just mash for the love of GOD

Step 5
Take breaks when you get tilted there is no point in getting angry over a video game
Step 6 (optional)
Don't play chipp you will ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ explode at any given time and be miserable for the rest of your life

(ok that was a joke play whatever character you want)
step 7
Interact with the community, learn some lore, listen to the soundtrack

This isnt really related to the game but finding people that share the same hobbies will ease the tension when playing because you both know you just play for fun.

also, I just remembered seeing bunch of ABA players spamming parry at fullscreen and getting away with it, so maybe that's the way to go

I'd love to spar too, but I'm afraid the roll-back is going to be very malicious :lilimsob: (I'm in kr-jp server)

thank you for the advice, what i do if I 50% is just do kick super into install then overhead or rekka or if i dont have meter and have burst gauge i just 5H into 236D-c.S-2H-214H, and if i dont have both i just 5H or 6P or 2S if they try to jump on me and i try to dodge projectiles with 214K and advance either with 236K or the rekka,if you want we can spar sometimes im always open to making new strive friends

You truely dodged a bullet by not even bothering with nago🙏
If I dare give you an advice, based on my little experience, use parry to projectiles(easier said than done) and install out of nowhere to confuse people.
e.g.
5cs -> 5fs -> 63214P -> murder
j -> jp -> 2k -> 63214P
(however j -> 63214P will not work unless you conditioned your opponent to block after jump&even then it is easy to panic 4 or 6d out of it by accident.)
Also for zoners, fullscreen install -> prc -> dash -> murder works well too.

but i started playing ABA recently and shes fun lol but hard to play against zoners

im not well versed in the nago rabbit hole for i never play him
John 18 Sep @ 3:58am
I disagree with that.
Unlike Nago, the advantages and benifits of controling her gauge is very high, actually teaching new players a valuable lession: mashing = bad
Whereas with Nago the lession people tend to learn is: mash = gambling = fun
because the gauge fills up after nago takes a breath 😞
New players, especially impatient people, should not play Nago😭

well ABA can fit into that criteria as well
