Singoru News
Hear ye, hear ye! The devs oracles have spoken! This is what lies ahead:
(disclaimer: I am just a random player. All this info and more can be found on their official discord server, which you are very welcome to join. It's a nice community. Also on the official Dev Diary posts here on Steam)

Unknown date
- It is planned to enable drops of legendary items from time to time. (Mostly Militiaman? :/)
- New location unlocked, thanks to the ice melting the blockages (? not sure if June or July)
- New set!

Early June (live June 21!)
- New game mode added: Hardcore. It will be 15 minutes runs, with potentially more gold than normal runs... if you make it alive! Really looking forward to it!
- Daily and Weekly rewards!
- New heroes!
- Fix issue: drop inside an inaccessible room in Bran.
- Portals are to spawn a guaranteed epic hero or weapon when using 10x summons.

July
- New quests in the Town Hall, and new achievements
- Heroes will get new lines and voices
- New active abilities will appear
- Academy? (improve heroes by doing quests, like reaching certain locations...)
Skill evolutions
After maxing a damaging skill (8 stars), you will get its evolution when you pick a book, if you have the secondary skill at any level. With the dragons, you need both at 8 stars.

Passive Skills
Here's the cumulative bonus for each passive skill.
Active Skills: bonus per level
Here's the bonuses per level per skill. Although informative, note that a lot can change when you evolve it (e.g., Faith Throw evolution seems to have infinite piercing; see Synergies section). Also, cooldown, area of effect, etc will play a big role into the skill potential, which is not reflected here. Finally, note that different skills have different baseline damage modifiers, e.g. Devastating strike hitting harder than Aura of Faith.

Active Skills: Base damage/cooldown
This is an approximation of observed base damage factor and cooldown. Unfortunately, I can not complete the table as I have been banned from this single-player game. Oh well.
Skill synergies
Here you can see which passives influence which skills. For convenience, I also added the passive needed to evolve the skill. FYI, if Piercing is not influencing a skill, it means it has basically infinite piercing. E.g., Stone Shrapnel needs piercing to go through multiple enemies, but its evolution (Boulder) does not, as it can crush though enemies endlessly (until it explodes).
Equipment Set Bonus
If you wear all five equipment of a single set, you will get a bonus. This works even if the rarities don't match.

Militiaman: Nothing.
Ranger: -10% to enemy damage when hit by any skill.
Barbarian: Reduces skill cooldown when health is reduced. (unofficial -0.2% per 1% HP lost)
Warrior: 30% chance of restoring 25% HP on taking fatal damage.
Mage: +10% chance of double skill activation.
Ronin: +5% chance of dealing triple damage.

These are the expected damage multipliers per set. Note that this does not take into account piercing or area damage, which can potentially boost your damage A LOT. Also not taking into account overflow damage. Also, I just assumed how cooldown is combined, but I might be wrong. I will try to test it in the future (timer + watching the screen, basically).

Here's the items bonus per rarity tier. All bonus are welcome, but I highlighted some:
The red bonuses are damage-y, blue are survival-y.
Heroes
Some info on hero(ines).

- Aerin is regarded as a very strong heroine, since the fireballs always fly towards a target. If you get the piercing strikes, this will be brutal.

- Truffaldino has -25% cooldown when moving. That's a great bonus to have, as you'll be shooting about 33% faster! Meaning more damage. Also more pickup radius.

- Mysterious Mr S: if you are lucky enough to pull this legendary hero, you'll see you trade off +20% cooldown for a +25% chance of double skill activation and a +20% chance of double damage. This computes up to +25% damage, so that's nice.
Tips
Beginner tips
Townhall quests:
- If you are starting, note that eventually you will need to have had all skills evolved. So yeah, go experiment with different ones, and when the time comes that you are asked for them, you might already have them.
- Some quests will require you to have bought X market items or scrolls. These get more expensive as you level up the market, so so make sure you are not trapped in bankruptcy, you can either wait to level up the market, or buy 40 items and scrolls to be safe later on.

Equipment: See Equipment Drop section. You can get equipment from crates on certain maps.

Random tips

Wood: Quite a pain to gather wood eh? Best bet is to see if there's a deal at the market (10k wood for 13769 books at a high market level), or run your highest map (wherever the drops are higher) and do quick grab-n-die or grab-n-quit runs.

Gold: For gold, you will want to finish the level, unlike with the above targeted resources strategy, since the bosses drop a nice amount of gold. I would not advise to spend Gemstones (purple) to buy gold in the bank, because 1) Gemstones is a very scarce resource, and 2) Gold drops in all levels.

Gemstones: I have seen gemstones appear in the Dunes map (+3) and Bran (+5). Extremely rare, though. Can get as reward from townhall quests.

Market:
(early game) Well, maybe try to get a set if you are stuck in a level. Or mix and match, depending on the bonus you want.

(mid game - lvl 15 market) Yay, you made it! Now legendary equipment will appear.

(late game - lvl 20 market) Ultimately, after many, many many hours of grinding, there's mythical items. Your best bet is to buy them with hero books, or buy 4 star legendary items to merge. Getting lower stars to merge needs more resources, but that's the opportunity cost, as you might find them easier. Note that you need Forge level 21 to craft Mythical items.

Gameplay
Skill books: Since you need a book to get an evolution of a skill, I usually avoid picking them up, and only do so when I have a skill ready to evolve. You will get more books than you need, so you can still pick some without an evolution ready, just be mindful.

Equipment Sets:
- Ranger: nice damage output, plus the cooldown and double damage chance.
- Ronin: nice damage output. Versatile. More expensive than the other sets. Gets cooldown, and double and triple damage chance.
- Mage: chance of double casting. AOE bonus. Speedy at Mythical tier.
- Warrior: lots of health, plus damage reduction, plus the chance of reviving.
- Barbarian: Gets bonus when you have low health. Can be tricky to master.
- Militia: joke set. The pizza is a lie.
Numbers!
It's numba-time!

Aftermath Stats
Word of caution interpreting the numbers seen in the table after a match is ended. Skills that always target an enemy will be seen as 100% of their damage potential, whereas other skills that act as a second barrier (Aura of Faith) will have a lower number if they just get what's left. So you are not seeing the skill damage potential, but what damage it managed to get in the match, with your gameplay, and all other skills around.

Damage
You might have seen some mentions of "chance of 2x damage", and maybe you are wandering what this actually translates to. So here's this.

10% chance to do double damage is statistically equivalent to x1.1 damage.
5% to do triple damage is also equivalent to x1.1 damage.

Why?

90% of the time *1 damage + 10% of the time *2 damage = 0.9*1 + 0.1*2 = 1.1
95% of the time *1 damage + 5% of the time *3 damage = 0.95*1 + 0.05*3 = 1.1

But... this only works if all damage is "used". Meaning, if you already kill an enemy with a normal attack, doing double or triple will mean nothing. At least for minions. But since bosses have a lot of health, these boosts can indeed come handy.

Skill damage and equipment damage are in different pools, so the damage you do is:
Base_damage * (1 + hero modifier + equipment) * skill_damage

Example 1: So, if your hero gets +35% damage for a skill, and your equipment gives + 50%, and your in-battle skill level gives +60%, then you will do Base_damage * (1 + 0.35 + 0.50) * (1+0.60).

Example 2: Full legendary Mage set (+60% damage, 10% chance of double skill activation). Hero has +35% damage bonus for skill A, and -7% penalty for skill B. Starting battle damage:
- Damage A = (1+60/100+35/100) * 1.1 = 2.145 (times the base damage)
- Damage B = (1+60/100-7/100) * 1.1 = 1.683 (times the base damage)

Cooldown
Cooldown is very related to damage. If you attack faster, you do more damage.
Example: -10% cooldown.
This means that whatever the time it takes for a skill, you will cast it in (100-10)% = 90% of the time.
So to calculate the equivalent damage, you just divide 1 by that number. 1/0.9 = about x1.1 damage

Regeneration
It takes 5 seconds per tick, for the regeneration skill to heal you. If you wear an armor that accelerates it, you will get a tick every 4.75 seconds. That is a -5% time reduction, meaning 5/4.75 = ~1.05, which is about 5% more health regenerated over time.
Equipment drops

General Map drop info (incomplete)
When loading certain maps, you can find item crates. If you are wandering these hostile lands of Singoru without a full set, you might want to do some item hunt: load map, see crate, get crate, quit level.

Legendary Weekend Event
Note that people are reporting many Militiaman drops, so don't get your hopes up.
Legendary items (all, including weapons, except Ronin equipment) can be dropped by bosses in Bran. The chance increases with stage difficulty and with boss level: it currently peaks at the last boss of Bran Hell, with a drop chance of >30%. Apparently the chance of getting a legendary item if you manage to clear Bran Hell is >50%.
These chances are so low (compared to the time and challenge) because they consider that legendary items are very valuable. The chances will increase once a new stage is introduced, and Mythical items get stars (July?).

@casimodo Ah that's sad. Maybe someone else is planning to jump in.

I was banned long time ago, unfortunately, so there's nothing else I can do.
(I did appeal, but was ignored)

Thanks for your reply and clarifying! How about the new synergys (elementals)? Are you planning to integrate them?
casimodo  [author] 15 Aug @ 1:41pm
@ TriggerTrix Sorry for the late reply. Isekai is listed in the "Equipment Set Bonus" section; full set gives +9% bonus to Experience (if they haven't changed it).
casimodo  [author] 15 Aug @ 1:39pm
@cac1qu3 Thanks. Yes, if it hasn't changed, a set are the 5 items you listed.

I saw that the guide's images were missing, so I reuploaded them.

Cheers,

What bonus does the full kit of ISEKAI give?
Thanks for putting this together!

@Klown for "attempting to hack" in order to find out about how things work, so I could understand and share the mechanics, chances, DPS, etc. with the community. I appealed, but was ignored, so I moved on (:

@Duffy try posting the mission in a discussion thread, where active players can see it. Discord also has a help channel.

Why have you got banned? O.O
